Exploring on your own two feet, you'll find amazing views and vistas at every turn throughout Copper Falls State Park. Stunning waterfalls, 1930s log buildings, and wildlife abound on nature hikes in this iconic area.

  • 1. Doughboy's Trail

Accessible from one of the Copper Falls State Park cabins, the best overall hike is Doughboy's. This trail takes you on a 1.7-mi. loop snaking up and around both sides of the Bad River, allowing hikers the most spectacular views of the signature Copper Falls from two different vantage points.

  • 2. Red Granite Falls Trail

A southern loop in the park takes visitors about 2.5 miles to the scenic Red Granite Falls. These falls can better be described as a series of rapids, but they are no less dramatic, and the hike offers a more "off the beaten path" feel.

  • 3. North Country Trail

For a different view of the famous Copper Falls, hop on part of the North Country Trail that runs parallel to the Doughboy's Trail. From here you can also connect to the Civilian Conservation Corps trail that leads to a lookout tower at the highest point.
