Take Interstate-64 exits 234 (west) and 242-A (east) and follow the signs to the main campus. If you're traveling by Amtrak train, don't forget to mention that you're visiting the campus, as special rates apply. If you're flying, there are three airports to choose from: Richmond, Norfolk, and Newport News/Williamsburg, with the latter being the closest.
To get all your questions answered and insider knowledge on the college's history and students' daily life, join one of the campus tours, which take place twice daily on weekdays during most of the year, except from December to February and in May. To visit on a weekend, check with the college in advance.
Don't miss out on exploring the historic town of Williamsburg. Hike the Virginia Capital Trail or sunbathe at Virginia Beach. History buffs will love colonial Williamsburg, where you can explore the making of America, the abolishment of slavery, and the dawn of democracy. Knowledgeable museum guides in period costume take you through the exhibitions and are always willing to answer your questions.
