The beach is one of the big draws at this park in Washington state, and it's easy to see why. Visitors of all ages can cool off in a dedicated swimming area, high tide brings anglers to the pier, and low tide is the ideal time for you and your family to enjoy playing on the sand. Don't forget to explore the shoreline for starfish and crabs.
Low tide at Dash Point provides the ideal conditions for this exciting water-based activity. It's a cross between surf boarding and skate boarding, and with skim boarding camps and competitions held here, you're sure to pick up some tips if you're a beginner.
Stay for a night or two in Dash Point State Park cabins or book a campsite, and make the most of the weekend interpretive events. June to August sees the ampitheater play host to evening events (Fri and Sat) and there are daytime walks and talks Fridays to Sunday.
