As the name suggests, the Beach Trail goes along the popular Fossil Beach, which is where visitors are often found hunting for ancient fossils. Try your luck, and you might discover a shark tooth or two. Beautiful and well-kept, this trail also offers sweeping views of the Potomac River.
Often less crowded than the Beach Trail, a hike on this three-mile path will take you along a marshy section called Big Meadows, while also offering activity options and an opportunity to spot local wildlife.
