A campus tour is the perfect way to discover James Madison University. The tours are available almost daily and they start at Madison Hall. This arboretum is located on the James Madison University grounds and there is a lot to explore. Witness the sea of yellow in the Daffodil Garden and the different species of ferns in Fern Valley. There are hundreds of species of colorful flowers on display – the scents will tickle your senses. There are also trails covering an area of 125 acres through a mature Oak-Hictory forest.
Head 200 feet underground for the one mile guided tour through the Shenandoah Caverns. There are 17 chambers to explore, with fabulous rock formations such as the Diamond Cascade, the Grotto of the Gods and the Bacon formations. The colored lighting adds to the excitement. There's also an elevator if you don't feel like walking.
