If you’re planning to see TU, the office of admissions can help personalize your visit and arrange a tour. In addition to seeing the university, you can tour the city's museums, attend events, and go sightseeing. Consider the following insider tips for your trip.
Guests can register online for a daily campus visit tailored to your needs. Larger groups of 10-40 people can also arrange a tour but must request a group visit at least three weeks prior. Get a stunning view of downtown from the university's library steps and beautifully designed classrooms. Visitors can also get a feel of the campus with a virtual reality tour.
If you landed at Tulsa International or are driving from the east and northeast, follow the I-244 West. If you're coming from the southeast, take routes 64/51. Buses 215, 210, 112, 111 all stop near TU. Parking isn't a problem – visitors can park in the Westby lot behind Collins Hall.
Have fun with the kids and head to the Tulsa Zoo, which has a safari train, carousel, and all sorts of animals. Alternatively, for a day inside, visit the Italian-style Philbrook Museum of Art, or catch a live show at one of the city's performing arts centers, such as Cain's Ballroom or the BOK Center.
