The University of Texas at Dallas offers a variety of tour options for prospective students and their families. There are Walking Campus Tours which begin at 10 AM and 2 PM on weekdays at the Visitor Center office. The tours showcase various areas including classrooms, student centers, and gathering areas. Group Walking Tours are available to introduce the university to community groups of 10-30 guests. Housing Tours offered on weekdays at noon and 12.30 PM showcase the state-of-the-art residence halls.
You can either use public transport or drive to the University of Texas at Dallas. In Dallas, board the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Light Rail (DART) and alight at the Bush Turnpike Station. From there, board the University of Texas at Dallas Comet Cruiser for route 883 which serves the university and the surrounding areas. If driving, from the Central Expressway (Dallas) – U.S. 75, take the exit at Campbell Road and drive to the University Parkway.
The University's main campus is in Richardson – Telecom Corridor area, 18 miles North of downtown Dallas. Richardson offers plenty of parks and recreational facilities including picnic sites and playground areas for you to indulge in during your tour. Also, it provides a vibrant art and cultural scene, and the Eisemann Center for Performing Arts is a testament to this.
