Pickett CCC Memorial State Park cabins provide an ideal base to start your excursions, ensuring you can hit the trails as the sun rises.
Taking hikers to a beautiful rock house and waterfall, this 0.3mi. trail is rated as easy for difficulty and is ideal for people of all ages. Wildflowers are a common, seasonal sight as you pass through the wooded areas.
This 2.5mi. trail is rated as moderate in terms of difficulty and takes hikers through lush forest to Hazard Cave. This route is kid-friendly and provides some excellent views from the bluff.
Also a moderately difficult eight-mile trail, this route takes hikers through dense forest to Thompson Overlook where spectacular views await.

Open Memorial Day through Labor Day, the park's picturesque swimming area is bordered by sandstone bluffs. Keep in mind that children must be supervised, as there are no lifeguards on duty.
Canoes, paddle boards, and rowboats are available to rent, letting you explore the park from the tranquil waters of Pickett Lake. Private kayaks and canoes can also be used if you wish to bring your own.
