The Lodge was perfect for two kids and our dog, enclosed gardens and loads of walks! The only thing I would say, we booked the Lodge based on the criteria of “allows pets” & “hot tub, ” through no fault of the owners, I suspect the jacuzzi bath fed the search - didn’t spoil our stay though!

House is great. We went for 3 nights. It is not an enjoyable break if you are instructed before leaving at 10 am to clean, return everything to original position, take out rubbish, strip all beds and put linen in laundry bags. For £300 per night I do not expect to do this. Every room had laminated instructions of what to do and what not to do. Even the toilet had instructions. Tiresome.

Lovely small house in a very quiet village. Dog friendly, with bowls and treats for your fur baby. Does need a freshen up on the decor and new mattresses as the beds were not comfortable. Also the garden was too overgrown making it an unusable place. Good location for exploring lots of places, such as Southwold beach and pier, and Dunwich beach, which are both dog friendly. We liked the nearby farm shop, Emmerdale, good selection and reasonably priced produce. Would definitely visit the area again.
