Spokane is served by the Spokane International Airport. It takes 15 minutes to reach the university from the airport. Taxis, shuttles, rental cars and the Spokane Transit Authority are the common means to reach downtown and the school. If driving, the university is reachable by taking the I-90 Westbound/Eastbound.
Visit the Riverfront Park which was the site of Expo ’74. Admire the sculptures and go on a cable car ride for magnificent views of the city. You’ll also see Spokane Falls, a renowned man-made dam and waterfall set in the city center. For relaxation, head to the 78-acre Manito Park and revel in its serene botanical gardens. The Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture is also worth visiting. It features over a million artifacts and fine art collection from the Americas.
Shopaholics will enjoy the many stores in the city from boutiques and specialty shops to malls and outlets. River Park Square, NorthTown Mall, and Spokane Valley Mall are the three main shopping areas populated with national stores and international brands. Around town are locally-owned boutiques selling vintage stuff, furniture, clothing, and books.
