Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport is just 30 minutes' drive from the campus. Once you're settled in nearby, you can drive downtown in just 10 minutes. The tranquil campus sits on the border of the Fernwood/Parkwood and Savannah State/Glynwood neighborhoods.
As well as golfing and walks around the neighborhood, you can take to the water with a riverboat cruise. Riverboats provide an excellent way to see the surroundings of Savannah, often missed by those who stick to the downtown area. Some of the public squares date from the 18th century. Head to Greene Square to see the historic Second African Baptist Church and several houses of interest.
Check out Savannah History Museum, which tells the story of the American Revolution through artifacts from the time, or the Telfair Academy, which was built in 1819 and opened as the first public art gallery in the South. It showcases American and European artwork from the 19th and 20th centuries.
