The annual Big Bay Boom fireworks show is the main event come Independence Day. Strategically situated around the northern section of San Diego Bay, the lights can be seen from Shelter Island, Harbor Island, and the Embarcadero area, as well as Seaport Village. The musical score is broadcast on the radio station The Mighty 1090AM, and on MaxFM, the frequency of which is 105.7.
