With 1,300 hectares of greenery, Forest Park is one of the world's largest urban parks. Head to the Missouri History Museum and the St. Louis Art Museum on its grounds, or enjoy some tennis, golf, ice skating, kayaking, cricket, or fishing. There are also several winding trails and flower gardens to explore if you'd like to spend a day outside.
On the banks of the Missouri River lies the world's tallest humanmade monument, the Gateway Arch. With an old cathedral, courthouse, and plenty of green space, the park makes for a great day trip. You can also ride a cable car to the top of the arch and enjoy panoramic views of the city.
One of the world's largest breweries, Anheuser-Busch is a major beer supplier for the country and an important economic driver for St. Louis. Visit the brewery to join an informative guided tour and sample free beer. End your trip with some sweet-potato fries and beer at the gardens.
