"Overall, good. Pros: The rental company staff was professional, polite, and informative when contacted. The property was definitely clean, bed and bathroom linens provided, dishes, silverware, etc. Once found, parking was easy, location was positive. Cons: The house wasn't quite ready at 5 pm as advertised, so we went to dinner first. We have been coming to Sunriver for 30 years and have used many rental agencies. This was the first time with this one. We were unfamiliar with the location of both the rental company and the condo, so we definitely hoped to avoid the in-the-dark Sunriver roundabouts-of-doom search. We did not get a physical map of the location UNTIL we finally found the rental office, in the dark, after several failed attempts and increasing frustration. Directions like "turn left at the Shell station, go past the elementary school on the left, turn right into the NONDESCRIPT cluster of buildings on the right with no RENTAL COMPANY SIGN to find the also UNMARKED lockbox where the requisite map is, if you pass such-and-so, you've gone too far" would have helped. Our three GPS sources (Google Maps, car, and Android) struggled to find the rental office based on the physical address. Our unit advertised bicycles, so we didn't bring ours. In the condo, we found a key labeled "Bike storage" but never found anything it opened, including the bike-sized storage building off the deck... We did not call the office number to ask, so that's on us, but it was frustrating. We missed (somewhere) that the unit was NOT air conditioned. Sunriver had been having triple-digit heat. We lucked out with 70's and 80's in the daytime, 50's at night, and an abundance of fans in the house, but initially there was great concern. This is an older group of condos, small, with no hot tubs or anything like that. Currently, demand certainly exceeds supply; it appears the rates are what the market will bear... I would be very candid in recommending this-"

"Overall the cabin is well maintained, but showing it's age. The bed was very comfortable. I was a little grossed out that there were two old soap patties left in the downstairs shower, especially this after being asked to pay another $47 for our stay so that Sunset Lodging could stay competitive in wages. I was disappointed that Sunset Lodging decided t add on the wages surcharge to existing reservations. It almost made me cancel, and I would have it had not been our anniversary. I understand the need for the surcharge, I guess, but it should have only been added to upcoming reservations. Also I am used to rental units having some essentials such as salt pepper and at least some creamer packets in the unit. There was a little salt and pepper in the containers, but not much. No other spices."

"Our cabin was ok. It really needs some up dating. The stove burner didn’t heat up so quickly. The refrigerator door needed a little extra push to close. The furnace was load when it was on. Thank goodness for the wood stove. It was a great addition to the place. Also the big pile of fire wood. The kitchen was just right in size and dishes. The beds were all comfortable. Plenty of towels for all.
Overall the place is nice but needs a little TLC."

"Beautiful and peaceful location. The condo was well stocked and in good condition. If the management company could clean the carpet and treat the soiled spots that would make this place great - our child was crawling around on the the carpets and it felt very unclean. Other than that, I would highly recommend!"

"We had a lovely holiday ski week at Cluster Cabin 20. It’s generally comfortable and well equipped. The kitchen is small but has all the dishes and utensils and cooking ware we could want. Except an espresso machine:-) The living room stove is toasty warm and has plenty of firewood. It was clean and check-in was straightforward. It’s a good size for three couples. The location is convenient to Sunriver Village and also retains the feel of being in the forest. Overall, it met our expectations.

But the lack of snow in late December reminded us skiers of our climate crisis, and houses like this one are part of the problem. It’s leaky and inefficient. Cold air pours in from the doors and windows. The wood stove lacks a duct for combustion air from outside. The gas furnace runs almost continuously at 25F outdoor temperature. No LED lighting. Some basic changes would save the owners on energy costs and make it more comfortable. The furnace should be replaced with an electric heat pump with heat-recovery ventilator; this would also provide AC for the summer. A heat-pump water heater would cost and pollute less. An induction stovetop would be safer and faster than a gas cooktop. To aid in cleaning up our transportation, the parking area should have a level 2 EV charger and expansion options for more.

Sunriver is served by Cascade Natural Gas, whose only product is apparently fracked gas which has a horrible climate impact. Sunriver electricity is provided by Pacific Power. Two thirds of their standard electricity comes from coal plants which also have terrible climate and toxic emissions impacts; but they do offer Blue Sky renewable electricity. The owners should sign up for renewable electricity (as Mt. Bachelor has) and feature it. It’s time to wake up and take responsibility for our carbon footprints.

The same can probably be said of most Sunriver properties. Knowledgeable renters will increasingly demand lodgin"

"We had a good stay, a bit hot as it has no AC, I didn't even think to check that so our fault. we still had a good time though. Cant really go wrong in Sunriver. Sunset has a great system for getting keys after hours too, very easy."

"We booked this cabin for the second time because we love the location: close to the bike trail, close to the river and about a 10 minute ride from the Village. The cabin is cozy, has a nice patio (we use for eating out as the weather permits) and suits our needs. It was very cold for almost a week and we had to use the heater, but apparently this is unusual for this time of year. There are several things the owner should work on: the downstairs bathroom could use a remodel (not enough space to hang towels, bathtub had some mold around the edges), the bikes need regular maintenance (one is missing a handle grip, the other has a shaky frame), but most importantly, this cabin is not for a family with an active toddler. There are huge spaces between the guardrails and a small child could fall about eight feet down to a hard surface. If you like to cook like us, we would recommend to shop in Bend because the grocery store at the Village is extremely overpriced and the selection is not great. Overall, the cabin met our needs and we would more likely rent, again."

"We were fortunate to find this condo at the last minute. It had everything we needed including a loft and bedroom for my daughter and her friend to hang out in without disturbing the rest of the family. The location is close to the Sunriver Lodge, Sage Spa and the Village. The condo was very clean and met all our expectations. A couple of things to know- it doesn't have a hot tub (we didn't care about that) and it doesn't come with SHARC passes. The owner does offer a 50% refund on SHARC entrance fees if you save your receipt and turn it into the rental company.

I rented through Sunset Lodgeing and couldn't be happier with the service they provided. Booking and Check in/out was easy. They were also super helpful when I left an item behind in the condo. I was sure I'd never see it again but the housekeeping staff was right on it and they sent it to me right away. We also woke up to a "chirping" smoke detector and the rental company sent someone over immediately to take care of it."

"Terrific for our family! Our grown children and their spouses along with two grand kids enjoyed a week at Cluster Cabin 20. The living room had plenty of comfy chairs for everyone, and the loft offered another option for smaller groups of conversation. We appreciated receiving a loaner bike for the week so that four adults could ride together. The dining table expanded to accommodate relatives who came for dinner.
We spent three days at Cultus Lake, and enjoyed an afternoon at the Old Mill Mall.
We would love to return!"

"The Ritz it aint, but quite clean and comfortable for a rustic little cabin. The resort gouges for everything - tennis courts are $15, you can't play at ANY of the golf courses (all private), and the Marina wants an outrageous $130 to rent you a little floatie raft. Hint - / just outside the resort is less than half the cost. The bikes are a nice amenity for getting around the resort. Restaurants and service were all good to great."
