Appresski com Welcome to APPrès-ski!

We are THE CLOSEST Bike In Bike Out Access to Ski Sugar's Mountain Bike trails and out the door Hiking!
Park in front of building Directly Adjacent (50 Steps) to Sugar Mountain Resort Mountain Bike Trails | 2 Bedroom, 2 Full Bath Condo (Sleeps 6 comfortably) | Casper KING Bed in Master | Comfortable 4 Bed Bunkroom | Kitchen | Dining and Living Room with Scandinavian Lay Flat Couch| New Indoor Pool, Hot Tub, Sauna

This classic mountain top condo is set 5,000 feet atop Sugar Mountain with BIKE-OUT and BIKE-IN access to 2 trails on the mountain. The balcony overlooks a lovely wooded area and Sugar's mountain biking trails. It is part of Sugar Ski and Country Club, an exclusive mountain top community with new pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, tennis, pickleball courts, and a gated entrance.

We consistently hear from our guests – WOW, the pictures just really don't do this place justice! Admittedly, even though we've tried our best to provide travelers a 360-virtual tour on our main site, the space is best experienced live on the mountain. See the over 130 Five-Star reviews on our site.

Reserve Early for 2024/25 Ski Season! Note the massive advantages: ACCESS, PARKING, VIEWS, ACCOMODATIONS, THE AFTER SKI AMENITIES, WARM UP ROUTINE INSIDE, FIRST TRACKS, AND MORE!

Summer Season: Bring your sense of adventure and your road and mountain bikes to our condo. You're already at the top and the ride down is amazing! The best public Golf in the area is at the base of the slopes. Hiking options are virtually limitless. Try a zip line, white water rafting, gentle tube floating in Todd or caving at one of the local adventure companies. Visit the Pisgah National Forest, Upper and Lower Creek falls rope swing, waterfalls, and natural rock slides. Head over to the Highland Games or try the swinging bridge on nearby Grandfather Mountain. Take the kids to Tweetsie. The condo sits at almost 5,000 feet elevation, so beating the summer heat isn't hard here. Open the windows and relax at a different temperature than even the base of the mountain. Check out the best mountain town shopping in nearby Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. Visit the Grandfather and Banner Elk Wineries. Enjoy a swim in the indoor pool at our new clubhouse.

Fall Season: Come to see the colorful changing of the leaves each fall. Our condo is a short drive (15-20 minutes) from Grandfather Mountain, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the best scenic drives in the area. Take a hike on the Profile Trail or enjoy the majestic colors of the Linville Gorge. Shutterbugs will love the views along all the winding mountain roads with breathtaking views. This is the season that made us fall in the love with the mountain, and we hope you'll enjoy all the babbling brooks, hikes, and all the beauty that mountain living has to offer. Make sure you catch an APP STATE football game in Boone!

The condo features over 900 square feet of indoor living space, as well as a private balcony. This unit is a corner unit, providing maximum privacy and wonderful views. It's a great space for families, couples, girls or guys weekends, and kids of all ages.

The condo was furnished with families in mind. The decor is all mountain-based, from the skis and snowshoes on the wall to the bear accents that make Sugar Mountain so unique. Inside we wanted CLEAN (our home ALWAYS will be) and we wanted amenities. We offer the convenience of one-level living with two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a well-appointed fully stocked kitchen, a separate heated ski closet, flat-screen TVs in each room, washer and dryer, high-speed internet, cable and Netflix availability, wireless chargers for phones, Firestick TV, and 2 Roku TVs. Note: given we're at elevation 5,000 feet, our community doesn't have HVAC. However, summer temps still continue to dip to 50-60's overnight. Fans are available to move the fresh mountain breeze throughout the condo, as well as, an Icy Breeze portable AC/cooler that can be used in the rare event temps peak during the day. This convenience is mobile and does not require window venting; it can even be taken to Parkway picnics.

We always provide our guests with linens and towels, dish soap, hand soap, laundry detergent, other cleaners, and other "little" things that one might forget when packing. We also provide STARTER SETS of paper products like paper towels and toilet paper. Although we don't inventory other items, some essentials often stay stocked such as assorted spices, cooking oil, sweeteners, etc. We want you to be comfortable and your stay to be easy.

Come visit us for your outdoor sport vacation!

"Great property- location was amazing & very convenient, especially having kids that vary in ages & interests. It was very convenient for each of us to go back & forth to the condo & allowed everyone to ski/snowboard as much or as little as desired. The location/convenience also kept us from needing to eat in the lodge which saved money & allowed for healthier meals. Paul & Morgan were very responsive from booking through our stay & the condo was well organized & stocked with needed items. We will definitely look to stay here again- our kids agreed it was one of our smoothest ski adventures yet!"

"Our stay at the ski condo atop Sugar Mountain was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled right on the slopes, the ski in and ski out access made hitting the slopes a breeze. But the convenience didn't stop there; the heated pool and jacuzzi provided a relaxing retreat after a day on the mountain. Inside, we found everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The full kitchen and washer/dryer were invaluable amenities, allowing us to save money on meals and dry our gear with ease. The beds were comfortable and I had no problems sleeping. Beyond the amenities, the owners truly went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Their hospitality and helpfulness were unmatched. Without a doubt, we'll be returning to this ski condo when we come back to Sugar Mountain. It's the perfect combination of comfort, convenience, and hospitality, making it our top choice for the future."

"Great stay yet again at pauls place, lovely mountaintop views, when we arrived their was snow on the balcony, & the last day we stayed there was a big snow storm that was just awesome. Even though omas was closed, I did find out this visit, that there is a short walk right over to switchback. Not a bad walk from the place during the earlier season. Pauls communication was great & warned us of incoming snow our last day in town. Cant wait to visit again"

"They thought of everything! Right down to extra pool towels and toiletries if you forgot any. Everything was clearly labeled, and they had some secret hidden jokes that we enjoyed. The porch was calm, quiet and amazing day or night. We spent hours just sitting and enjoying the view. There was plenty of space for all our things and it was so easy to cook and bake with everything neatly labeled. It was also super close to the grocery store. By far, my favorite place I’ve stayed in the mountains. It’s also the perfect setup for ski season. I can’t wait to go back ️"

"Our family's stay at APPres-Ski was one to remember for sure. The property is located on top of Sugar Mountain, only feet away from Oma's Meadow and Sugar Slalom slopes. Although there is no snow in the summer, it is still gorgeous and it feels special to be so close to the ski lifts. There were mountain bike trials just under our balcony. We enjoyed seeing the young men and women make their way through it while having the tasty coffee provided by APPres-Ski and breathing the fresh, cool mountain air in the morning. This cozy condo had everything we needed, and so much more. This place is perfect for home bodies and active visitors alike. If we were not relaxing inside on the comfortable furniture watching a wide range of TV options; we were cooking, playing board games, or just enjoying the awesome views from the balcony. At some points, all of that was happening at once. When you are ready to be out and about, the condo is within 10-25 minutes of many worthwhile experiences. Our children and adult company visited the clubhouse when on-site and took full advantage of the features. Big pool, sauna, jacuzzi, fitness gym, and multi-purpose room. If you're a social person like I, you will meet wonderful people, if you want to stay to yourself, this community is quiet, respectful, and can provide a privite experience as well. All in all, you wont find a better place to escape the heat in the summer."

"Very well-kept place, especially for a ski condo. Check-in easy, beds comfy. I love the labels on all the kitchen cabinets making it a snap to find everything and quite a fully stocked kitchen too I might add. It’s a very clean and buttoned up rental; the owner’s pretty much think of everything you might need. The trail is literally a 30 second walk away. The back deck affords decent views of the trail. "Sometimes you just need to get away and actually relax...Apres Ski is the spot if you want to unwind at Sugar Mountain! We just finished a long weekend up here and it was amazing. The location speaks for itself. Step outside, lock your bindings, and you are off for skiing/snowboarding. Easy access on/off the slopes for snacks or lunch. We could let our teens do a few more runs even after the adults were ready for a break... Lifts are super convenient to Oma's Meadow. As far as the condo, it is laid out efficiently and comfortably for a family to enjoy some time together. Side note...the master king bed is incredibly comfortable (and a real blessing after all day on the slopes). The kids reported that the bunks in the other bedroom are also very comfortable (and they are picky). Washer/dryer is a lifesaver to get gear ready for a night session. The ski closet is lockable and keeps your gear out of the condo and secure (strongly recommend the multi-day rental at Highland if you need gear). The living area is cozy for the whole group. The smart tv and cable worked great for Super Bowl Sunday! The balcony overlooks the woods on the mountain with a partial view of the lift to Oma's Meadow and the slopes. It really shines at sunrise with coffee! We appreciated the well stocked kitchen as we ate every meal at the condo all weekend. The owners have gone the extra mile to provide all the essentials and plenty of nice surprises. Bottom line, this condo is completely set up for a family wanting to spend max time on the slopes during their trip. We could have driven up the mountain, parked the truck, and never had a reason to drive down the mountain until we had to reluctantly make the trip home. You won't be disappointed here; we couldn't have asked for anything more and we will be back!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at APPres-Ski! The location was perfect, a true ski in-ski out with a short 50 step walk to the slope. The hosts had great communication, from a question we had just after booking to a follow up with items we accidentally left behind after checkout and in between. They were quick to respond, helpful and so kind! Everything was cleverly labeled in the condo and it was well appointed. We had plenty of room to all (family of 6) relax and play games after a day on the mountain. The condo was warm and cozy and welcoming, especially liked the Christmassy touch!"

"Our goal was to enjoy the fall leaves and hike. This was a great location to accomplish that. We also really enjoyed the tennis courts, pool, and hot tub when we weren't out and about. The condo was clean, attractive, and had everything we needed plus more. I cooked multiple meals and it was great to have the same amenities I would have at home. There were even things like cooking spray and salt and pepper, which are easy to forget when packing. We played lots of cards and there were other games and plenty of puzzles to do had we stayed indoors more. We used the provided brochures and menus to decide what hikes to take and where to eat. The owners were very thoughtful in how they supplied the condo and they were kind, helpful, and great communicators. We would definitely consider returning."

"We spent over 2 months in the Greer condo and could have stayed longer! Disappointing to leave this quiet mountain retreat. Amicable neighbors and fulfilling fitness center( only couple years old) that the Association spared no cost! Heated pool, sauna, locker rooms with showers and a small but complete work out area. Also a spacious great room with kitchen that can be reserved. Brand new tennis court that is also striped for 2 pickleball courts and sturdy easily assembled portable nets. Staff members Bre, Jennifer and manager Zoe professional, competent and helpful with any problems on the property. Outdoor grill and picnic tables for each building that are very accessible to all units. Watching mountain bikers every weekend right below the patio was something else we looked forward to. For you skiers reading this, it is a perfect venue! Can ski over to Oma’s Run brand new quad lift and start your runs. All in all, a wonderful place for all seasons."

"Everything was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped and there are lots of extras like puzzles, games and books. It’s a second floor corner unit so the spacious living room and master bed room both have extra light and feel very open. The deck is larger than it looks in the photos. We loved looking out over the trees and the surrounding mountains. We also loved opening the windows and feeling the breeze throughout the condo. It was such a treat to sleep with the windows open (high up from the ground and a really safe gated location). We even had to close them several nights because it was too chilly which was a great thing in the summer! The condo is close to lots of great restaurants and activities and there are trails right there off the slope. The clubhouse is just steps away. It wasn’t busy so we often had the pool and hot tub to ourselves. There’s a little gazebo at the edge of the parking lot with a deck that overlooks the Oma’s Meadow slope and the distant mountains. The condo’s at the top of the slope so it’s the perfect location for skiers. The owner is very pleasant and can give you lots of information about the area. We’ll definitely be back!"

"“Charming” is the immediate word that comes to mind as we entered the home. It’s a throwback, familiar feeling like being at your auntie’s or grandma’s place as a kid. Super cozy, comfy with some of the coolest windows in the biz. Labeled cabinets and drawers, brochure-filled binder, board games for everyone, two coffee machines, and the kitchen bar were highlights for me. Spent a lot of time on the balcony just peering out, taking it all in. All that mountainous greenery, calm, and bird songs will put you at quick ease and tranquility. After the 5-min drive out of the neighborhood, several places are very close: Grocery stores, restaurants, parks, outdoor activities, etc. And yet there are still tons of green, mature areas all around you. We’re low-key, laid-back, mountain spirits for sure, so getting away to this area of the state was the point instead of going to the beach with all the summer crowds and families. We like the peace and quiet. This condo and the surrounding areas had both in spades. Will be back for sure! 10 out of 10."

The kitchen is pristine, fully equipped, and the instructions from the host were very clear. The condo is very clean and we loved the spacious living room. Located 5 min away from Food Lion and Lowe’s Food, 8 min away from Banner Elk downtown where you’ll find great restaurants. We also went to Grand Father Vineyard which was about 15 min away. There’s a Clubhouse with pool, hot tub and sauna. We can’t wait to come back for ski season."

The weather was perfect for all things outdoors, though we got a lot of use out of the pool, hot tub and sauna in the clubhouse (and had them all to ourselves!) The condo itself had everything we needed and was a very comfortable place to stay. Thank you so much for hosting us!"
