"We visited A King's lodge with 5 families (10 adults, 11 kids (ages 1-9)) and had a wonderful visit. It's set in the middle of the valley with views looking up the mountains. The bunk room housed 10 of the 11 children and was perfect! It is set off on the other side of the house with a door so despite the noise they made in the mornings, none of us heard it as we were sleeping soundly in our bedrooms. Did I mention the bunk room had 3 gaming tables? The bedrooms were nicely decorated and clean. We had plenty of hot water--a few of the bathtub faucets are backwards for hot/cold but no big deal. The kitchen cooking area is small but workable and the the dining seating area is very large which was perfect for our large group. We ate all meals in the house. We utilized the charcoal grill for grilling steaks. We spent a lot of time around the fire pit during the late evening and night. It's a great size and our men built good size fires. It's a bit darker behind the house but we were able to easily make our way to the fire pit at night. We also got in the hot tub which was great--5 adult men fit at one time and 10 kids fit at one time. We never went into Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. There is a back entrance into the park near this home which we used to go to Metcalf Bottoms parking lot which has a great 3.2 mile hike (greenbriar school/Walker Sisters' Cabin) that all our kids managed well. The hike can be shortened depending on how far you want to go. We did go to the Alpine Coaster just on the outskirts of Pigeon Forge (10 minute drive) which was a lot of fun for our crew. Also the owner of the cabin runs the farm directly across the street and David was happy to tour our kids around--horses, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens. There is a dollar general about 5 mins from the cabin which is handy. We had a wonderful stay at A King's Lodge and will likely come back here for our next retreat. David was readily available to answer any questions/concerns prior to the trip and while on the trip."

"We took a large church group on a convention trip and loved every minute of it. Unlike other cabins that have zero yard space, this cabin hast lots to do inside and plenty of room for horseshoes or other outdoor activities. Great place. The owners were very responsive and took care of us while we were there."

"We loved the setup of this house. It was perfect for our 10 kids and 10 adults to spread out and have our own space. It's quiet, in the country, but not too far out. We didn't worry about the kids falling off the mountain! Plenty of room to roam. The valley views were beautiful. We would stay again."

"My Girl Scout troop of 5 girls (ages 16 yrs old) and 5 adults drove from Southern NJ to stay at A King's Lodge. We were so excited to find it on VRBO. It is truly a lovely house with PLENTY of space. Very clean with gorgeous views. The girls LOVED the bunk room and immediately took over. Roy (the wooden horse) was their mascot for the week. The bedrooms were large and the bathrooms were great. Plenty of clean towels for all. The kitchen is HUGE and we spent a lot of our evenings either relaxing in the kitchen or watching the Olympics in the living room. A suggestion would be to have a larger, more energy-efficient fridge. It seemed to take a little while to really get cold. Outside, the fire pit was perfect and we all enjoyed the hot tub! The only negative is that it was super hot and humid - add that to the grass which was pretty tall, it made for some buggy nights. There were sudden rain showers almost daily but that didn't stop us! At night, the area was super quiet and I wish I had brought a telescope in order to see that night sky. The check-in/check-out procedure was super easy. Regarding sightseeing, the town of Seiverville is just beautiful. Definitely explore around the town and stop at Friendly Falls on Wears Valley Road. We visited Clingmans Dome as well as other stops on the road in the Smokies, Dollywood, Ripley's Aquarium, downtown Gatlinburg, and we also went zip lining and white water rafting. Our house was probably a good 20 minutes away from the main areas (Rt 321) and that was ok with us. The folks at Kroegers were also super nice! All in all - I would highly recommend A King's Lodge to everyone!"

"We just got home from the best vacation in gatlinburg area! The cabin rocked! There were 20 in our family. It was very spacious and the bunk room with 12 beds and games was a huge hit. So nice since the weather was extremely hot. We come to gatlinburg every year and this was our favorite place so far. Everything is close. We went tubing down the road and did a timeshare presentation and were gifted 18 water park tickets so that was a big hit. We took our annual family photos right on the property because it was so beautiful. We LOVED the campfire and did Smores and sang. And kids enjoyed visiting the horse ranch across the street. We plan on coming back next year!."

"I took my family of 18 to stay at A King's Lodge. The cabin itself was beautiful and spotlessly clean and the countryside could not have been more peaceful and quiet. There were a few little minor details that management (great/friendly people) fixed most of them as soon as we drew their attention to it. The water pressure in the upstairs showers was quite low so most of the family shared the master bath. The cabin was close enough to the main attractions - restaurants etc. but far away enough to feel like you were the only ones there. All in all, we are all ready to go back and would rent the same cabin again. My body left the Smoky Mountains but my heart is still there"

"Our church youth group stayed here a couple weeks ago. We had a total of 17 of us. The bunks were perfect for all the girls and we put the boys in the bedrooms. This place was super clean and kitchen had all the amenities we needed to prepare meals. I would definitely recommend a stay at "A Kings Lodge". Instructions on check-in were complete and answered all our questions! Would come back again ! Thank you !"

"My family of 14 that ranged from ages 4 to 73 went to Wears Valley for a weekend to celebrate my Dad's retirement. The house was plenty big, had room for all and plenty for all to do. The big dinning area was great - we all could sit and enjoy a meal. The bunk area / play room was perfect for the kids to enjoy playing each other in pool and air hockey. The location is great for getting to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We will be back!"
