Details:

★ ★ Conveniently situated near Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Arts and Crafts, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Sevierville. You get the best of both worlds - access to attractions while also staying at a SECLUDED mountain cabin with plenty of amenities.

★ ★ Custom-built all-log cabin set on several wooded acres. WOODED views, an outdoor FIREPIT (firewood not provided). Located on a quiet residential street with just a few homes. Accessible by ALL PAVED roads and driveway, the cabin offers ample off-street parking for 4+ cars. With only 5 steps to the front door, your arrival and unpacking will be easy!

★ ★ Appalachian Escape Cabin: A thoughtful blend of traditional and modern - hand-hewn hemlock log walls, exposed beams, gleaming hardwood floors throughout, and rustic log furniture are all reminiscent of traditional craftsmanship. Designer pine cone motif light fixtures accent the all-log interior.

★ ★ Come and snuggle into one of the comfortable sofas by the stone-clad two-sided fireplace that extends from floor to ceiling. Enjoy your favorite programming on a 48" Smart TV with all popular channels, or have fun playing a game or two on a rustic log pool table. Relive the good old days by playing Pacman, Centipede, or any of the 48 classic 80s games on the upright arcade.

The functional modern kitchen, complete with soft-close cabinetry and stainless steel appliances, seamlessly connects to the spacious dining area. The custom chiseled-edge granite countertops and large island provide ample seating and prep space. The dining room offers a cozy fireplace and a farm-style table that comfortably seats 10 guests. With seating for 6 at the expansive kitchen island, there's plenty of room for your group to mingle or enjoy sit-down meals together.

Main floor King bedroom with a comfy memory foam mattress. The attached Jack-and-Jill bathroom has a double vanity and a walk-in shower. Full-size washer and dryer (starter supply of detergent only).

★ ★ has another King bedroom with a memory foam mattress. Another large "family" bedroom on the second floor has two Queen beds (handmade by the owner) and two narrow twin daybeds. There is a TV with all the popular channels in every bedroom. A full bathroom with a walk-in shower and a separate jetted tub. Heated bathroom floors (winter) in both the main floor and upstairs bathrooms add a pleasant touch.

★ ★ Drink your morning coffee out on the front deck in our rocking chairs. A picnic table is great for enjoying meals outside. After a full day of fun, hiking, and adventures, relax in the 5-person hot tub.

★ ★ Take in the serenity of the Smoky Mountains with wooded and seasonal mountain ridge views. A variety of native plants and trees grow in the cabin backyard - you will feel like you are already in the Smoky Mountains National Park. See the flame azaleas and Pink Lady Slippers bloom in spring, followed by rhododendrons in the Summer. Rock away in the rocking chairs on the full-length, covered porch. Have a relaxing dinner on the porch or gather around the picnic table and charcoal grill in the yard. Roast marshmallows and make s 'mores by the backyard fire pit (firewood is not provided). Kids will love the "little log cabin" playhouse, built using the trees harvested on the property.

Whether your idea of a dream vacation is to "hide away" with family and friends or to enjoy the many area's activities and attractions, escape to Appalachian Escape Cabin and find it all! Most desirable local destinations such as Downtown Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, Aquarium, zip lines, and more are all within easy driving distance.

★ ★ Appalachian Escape Cabin is not a typical rental owned by a company, but rather a privately owned vacation home. During the construction of the cabin, we incorporated traditional and rustic features with modern amenities for your convenience. Additionally, we personally created or restored the furniture and decor pieces to add a unique touch. We hope that you will enjoy your stay at Appalachian Escape Cabin just as much as we do and take care of the cabin with the respect it deserves. When you compare Appalachian Escape Cabin to other cabins of similar size, you will realize that you get more value and a better experience with us!

"We loved the cozy nestled stay in the woods. Driveway was our only complaint, as it was very steep and scary in the rain (without a 4 wheel drive vehicle). But after this, it was great. Awesome firepit, fun outdoor cottage for the kids, loved the spacious kitchen and island. Beds were great. Fireplace was nice. Property managers were very responsive. We will probably stay here again. thanks!"

"Let me start off by saying this was our first time to Tennessee. We are from the corn fields of Nebraska and like our peacefulness. This was the reason for choosing this location and it did not disappoint. Upon arriving, the cabin was very clean an homey. There was 7 of us, 5 being teenagers. Everyone had their space and everyone was comfortable. We spent a lot of evenings just sitting on the front porch taking it all in. The roads are interesting and yes the driveway is rather steep but your a little ways in the country away from the noise of town so get out and enjoy it. We will definitely rent this cabin again when we come back."

"Beautiful, clean house in a gorgeous, private setting. It was perfect for our extended family of 7. The kids loved the pool table and games. The firepit was our favorite place to spend our evenings. Plenty of yard space to throw a football and kick around a soccer ball. Great location with easy drives to local trails and attractions. The hosts were extremely responsive. The amount of local information they provided us was out-of-this-world. We wouldn't have known where to start without their travel guide and notes. "This escape was exactly what this Wisconsin family needed. The house is beautiful. The covered patio is welcoming and lodge feeling. We found solitude on the porch at night listening to the peace, serenity, and at brief intervals, an enthusiastic rooster in the area. We gathered around the island in the kitchen most frequent. We were lucky enough to spot a bear roaming for ~~10 min. He was scooping grubs out of a stump down the way. The beds were cozy and the amenities kept the children entertained. We are happy we brought the SUVs as the roads and driveway are quite steep. This place is certainly a gem on the hillside."

"Overall impression: Excellent. Bit tricky to find at first but once you’ve been there you’ll remember. Driveway sneaks up on you so be alert. The roads are a bit curvy so drive slowly and carefully. Location is good…just far enough away to be away from all the touristy stuff…yet close enough when and if you want to go. The cabin itself is meticulous. Just like the pictures. It’s not for those that can’t climb stairs as two bedrooms are on the second level. The walkway up to the front door is a bit steep also. We’re a geriatric group though, so bit more difficult for us. One of the best things about the house is the upstairs jetted soaking bathtub…. oh, and the hot tub out on the front porch. Two ways to really relax. The cabin is tucked nicely into the woods. The sounds of nature surround you and is music to your ears after a day in Pigeon Forge. Unfortunately, we did not get to use the fire pit but it is a beautiful little area to congregate. Our only complaint was not having a sports channel on the tv as we wanted to watch the World Series. It would be nice too, to have a movie channel (HBO, NETFLIX…) since commercials ruin the flow of a good movie. Yes, I would highly recommend the Appalachian Escape."

"Cabin was clean & just as pictured. Comfy beds & kitchen was stocked well with dishes, silverware, etc. The pool table & games kept everyone entertained. It was great to have morning coffee on the porch-single cup coffee maker wasn’t that good, so I was glad I brought my own Keurig. Only complaint I had was the hot tub took a long time to heat up & the chlorine floater was empty. We had a rather large group (8 adults/5 days) so we ended up washing towels, there was some laundry detergent there, enough for a couple of loads. Driveway is steep & wet leaves made it harder for a few to drive up it-I would think AWD would be useful in snow! All in all it’s a great cabin in a beautiful spot! My family & I had a wonderful time & would definitely stay again!"

"This spacious log cabin was perfectly secluded and surrounded completely by natural beauty! It was comfortably furnished and the kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed a 3 day stay and used the jacuzzi, fire pit, fireplace and cooked several meals. You truly feel that you’re away from it all but it’s not a far drive to all the attractions. Be aware internet use by your provider or their WiFi probably won’t be too good, which wasn’t a terrible problem for us, but if you need service this isn’t your place. We came to get away and enjoy each other’s company, not to stare at our phones, but it would have been nice to be able to look up restaurants and attractions. Not a deal breaker though. The hosts have obviously been very thoughtful with all the many provided amenities and we enjoyed our stay very much. Would definitely return."

We stayed in most of the time, cooked, grilled, enjoyed the hot tub, had a real wood burning fire every night and was entertained by the raccoons! The beds were sooo comfy, too! We never could get them to where we could play DVD movies, but that truly was not a problem. "This place is warm and cozy even while spacious and open. It feels like a home with all the amenities you would have for yourself. The acreage is completely wooded, affords views of nature and gives privacy. Locally, we had quick access to the Smokey Mountain National Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway and Gatlinburg, TN. Stores and restaurants are close and available although the cabin feels like it is miles from all of that. It was amazing to be able to look up at the night sky and see Stars... Lots of them, because there is no light clutter blotting them out. What a peaceful pleasure. Almost like a wonderful unplanned amenity. This is a well maintained Cabin with everything you would ever need or want for your comfort. As a Chef, I was pleased to find cookware for any type of meal. Enough plates, glasses and silver to accommodate service for a family of ten. There is a beautiful handmade dining table and seating outside for coffee, lounging or a meal. Loved the Barbecue Pit in the back yard. Plenty of recreation for a family with a Jacuzzi big enough for six on the porch under cover, a pool table and stand up video arcade inside the cabin, and a corn hole game in the back yard. There is also a fire pit for that campfire in the evening. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Every corner was clean. It was nice to have a Washer and Dryer right there also (who knew I would need to do laundry while on vacation). I am especially grateful to our host for their carefully laid out and well planned guide for the cabin, it's amenities and some of the things I would not normally be aware of as a city dweller. We all was young back then and the Tisdale was our 1st command together. We all agreed when we got out that we would stay in touch and get together occasionally. Well, it only took 25 years but it finally happened at this beautiful cabin. Thank you so so much for allowing us to stay at the cabin. We made memories that I believe we all will cherish for the rest of our lives. I would highly recommend this cabin for any family wanting to vacation in or around Gatlinburg. I can’t speak highly enough about your cabin. Thanks again and GO NAVY!"

"The cabin was set up perfectly... it was a challenge getting up the drive way but it was worth it"

"We stayed at the Appalachian Escape cabin with our 4 grandchildren ages 4-9; 10 of us all together. The cabin was beautiful and spacious allowing room for the kids to play and us to function. I know I speak for everyone when I say we all enjoyed our time at the cabin very much. Victoria was easy to correspond with and she always responded promptly whenever I contacted her. The location of the cabin is perfectly located for trips to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and the Smokey mountain state park, all being minutes away. Our time at the cabin made us feel secluded and surrounded by nature. The cabin was very clean, offered lots of things for my grandchildren (and us) to do. We enjoyed the campfire area as it was surrounded by trees but was just a short walk from the cabin. The covered porches and rocking chairs were a great spot to relax along with the hot tub. And I really loved that all of us could eat together comfortably at the large dining table. Many of the other other cabins we looked at did not have tables big enough for a group of 10 to sit together so this was a big plus for us. I would not hesitate to book again with Victoria. She was wonderful and I hope we can all come back to visit again soon. So thankful we found this place."

"The GPS directions led my wife and I with our three teenagers directly up the mountain and into the driveway of the Appalachian Escape Cabin that's nestled on a hill that's not too far away from good restaurants and several phenomenal arts and crafts shops. The trip into Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge is about 15-20 minutes, but you don't have to go all the way into either of those places for good food or atmosphere. The Appalachian Escape Cabin was great (although it rained almost the entire time during our stay), so being stuck in the cabin was bearable. Having a pool table and large arcade to go with a full kitchen and dining area was a lifesaver. There was wifi and Direct TV, so the kids didn't whine too much. The beds were very comfortable and there were two sinks in the master suite bathroom which was nice. The details of the log cabin and the porches was phenomenal. Very well done and enjoyable. The AC system runs great in the Summertime months. It was a great stay and quality time spent with the family. The owners communicate well and sent lots of information leading up to arrival at the cabin."
