This unique, 1940s old Florida-style cottage will let you enjoy your 30A vacation but still feel separated from the hustle and bustle of the main area. Close and convenient to Seaside, but still far enough away. This is a great area to ride bikes and you're just minutes from so many great dining and shopping options. All the attractions and activities of world famous Seaside are only a short bike ride or walk away.

You'll love the large screened-in front porch with 2 rocking chairs and hammock, plus there is a spacious deck in the back nestled in the shade of magnificent live oaks. A great spot to enjoy more fresh air and Gulf breezes. This house is the ONE for those that need to get away.

Sleeping Arrangements:
Bedroom 1: King bed.
Bedroom 2: Queen bed, 2 sets of twin-over-twin bunks
Sofa in the living room pulls out to a queen bed.

Beach Access:
Head down Gardenia Street and directly across 30A is your boardwalk to beach access.
Distance: 300 feet | Time: 2 minutes walking

Seagrove Beach:
Named for the thick grove of oak trees lining its coastline, Seagrove Beach is located in the heart of 30A. There's no better spot to experience everything 30A has to offer! Feeling adventurous? Rent a bike and jump on the 20-mile Timpoochee bike trail that runs right around the corner from the neighborhood. Visit famous Seaside and Grayton Beach State Park to the West. easy travel to all other beach Communities. The only
issue was Nightly roaming large bugs came out. Needs New Toaster & The Outside Property Needs a Cleanup. Otherwise we had a Great Time."

"We loved our time at Made in the Shade. Great location, very easy and quick walk to the beach. Public access to beach is right across the street. We biked everywhere (we brought our own bikes and 1 bike at Made in the Shade worked). The house was cute and quirky. We loved the porch and trees. Would love to stay there again!"

"Location of the house in unbeatable. The condition of the house was unfortunate. From the pictures I knew we weren't renting an updated house, but feeling grossed out by everything around the house isn't what we expected. Was suppose to have 2 baths, but one didn't have a shower head or a way of turning on the shower portion so we ended up with 4 people sharing 1 Bathroom. Nothing has been maintained in the house, looks like after each renter they do a quick clean and call it good. House has potential but needs some love and a couple of bucks to make it suitable for a renter."

"Firstly, the house and location was perfect. Been vacationing in the area now for our 30 years and we try a new place each time we visit as a family, but this time was the worse in 30 years. Construction is everywhere on different degrees. But very disappointed that the management company didn't flag that 15 feet away, there was from 7a-3pm concrete jack-hammers, concrete block dumping intro trucks and earth shaking noise that sent our family to tears. The kids were hiding in their room with door closed and refused to come out in the morning for breakfast, the wife was under pillows so she could sleep...what this did was destroy our experience at the beach and pushed us away from the house so we never got to enjoy all the things you see listed in the description from 7am-5pm. I finally called the management company and politely explained the situation and she could barely hear me on the phone and knew that we are not happy. She said she would escalate this to the billing dept to look into a refund and she would call me back during our stay - which she never did nor have we (as of 3/14) heard or seen any kind of compensation for this nightmare. And yes, she made it very clear there is a clause in our contract that they cannot be responsible for construction disruption in the area. I totally understand and I have been in a condo where there was construction happening nearby...but this was unacceptable.
Why Beanchmark Management could not have flagged this in the rental/property description is beyond me - it clearly needed to say "During March 2022, construction is happening next door that may impact your experience". It is a simple line that does 2 things....1) Tells you of a possible disruption that may impact your stay and sets expectations for a renter and 2) clearly shows they are proactive and care about their customers so they will come back again because they had a great experience - or knew ahead of time."

"We arrived at our rental and found that it was right in the middle of a demolition zone. The house to the immediate right was being actively demolished with the dump truck blocking us in (within 10 m of arrival). We were never forwarded the neighborhood was nearly all active construction, even though the management company and owners had to have been aware. We paid quite a bit of money and the management company relied on the "construction" fine print to avoid refunding. I am very disappointed in this as a business practice, fine, you got our money, but how are they okay with that? I sent a video, the floors were shaking and it was incredibly loud. Not appropriate for a 5 day vacation. We couldn't stay, we had to find another hotel 40m away so that my mother could have her beach trip.

"Nice home and very clean inside. Less than 5 minute walk to private beach which was wonderful. We did not use the screened porch as it was dirty with old cushions and not enticing to sit. Location is great and an easy bike ride to Seaside."

"This beach home was cute and clean. Loved the porch and the close access to the beach! There were 7 adults- the master bed was great. Had a few complaints that the bunk beds and queen was hard and not too comfortable, but hey, we can sleep on the beach, so no real complaints. The second bedroom was bigger than expected. There were bikes available and more parking space than reported. We had a great stay!"

"We recently spent 8 nights at Made in the Shade and loved everything about it. We especially enjoy Old Seagrove and the location of this rental was perfect--short walk to the beach, restaurants within walking distance and less than a mile to Seaside. The cottage being single floor (two steps to 2nd bedroom and bath) was a benefit as well. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking fresh seafood at home. Other renters have noted problems with internet service, but we did not find that an issue. Upon check-in, we had an issue with the front door code being incorrect and over the phone they entered a new code and problem solved. Overall, we loved this little cottage and would definitely recommend it and come back. I'm just sorry they are tearing down a lot of the old, quaint cottages, along with some of the businesses and building 2 to 3 story white houses."

"We had a rainy weekend at the beach, but had a nice place to stay. The porch is lovely, with loads of sitting space. There's enough room in the living and dining room for a group. The kitchen is a bit small, but well equipped. Our only complaint is that the floor always felt like there was sand on it, so make sure you bring your house slippers or some socks! You can see the ocean from the road outside of the house - the location cannot be beat!"

"Overall a good location, comfortable bed, etc. The top rack of the dishwasher was broken before our arrival so I contacted the owner via email but got no reply. It would be helpful to supply guests with courtesies like more than one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, beach towels and a blow dryer. (This was mentioned on an email prior to our trip, so at least I was aware.) "

"We loved the house but loved the location even more. The walk to the beach was less than 3 minutes and made it easy to go back and forth during the day. Bike rentals made it easy to get anywhere you need in Seagrove, Seaside, or Watercolor.
The only downside is the driveway. It is very small and hard to manage even in a small SUV."
