Description

Come experience a vacation steps from the beach with a level of privacy rarely found along 30A. What makes it even better is your very own private pool. Blue Bungalow comes with free seasonal beach chair setup - you can find this at the Ramsgate Beach Access.

This casually elegant, custom-built beach cottage offers comfortable, open concept living complete with hardwood floors and a stone fireplace under a large TV. The gorgeous kitchen includes a walk-in pantry and a 5-burner gas stove. The dining area is furnished with an oversized table with seating for 12 and additional seating at the kitchen island.

An elegant master suite is located on the 1st floor plus a convenient half bath and laundry room. Easily accommodating multiple families, upstairs are 4 bedrooms plus built-in hall bunks. From the 2nd floor you'll find access to an observation tower above the trees with spectacular views of the Gulf and Eastern Lake.

The house offers 2 large screened-in porches. The front porch is nestled in the shadow of the live oaks. There is an expansive back porch overlooking the pool and the privacy fence creates a hidden oasis. The driveway and separate circular drive provide ample parking for multiple cars.

The house is approximately 250 yards from the beach access and access to Eastern Lake for kayaking, fishing, and paddle boarding. And, you'll be in close proximity to restaurants and shopping around the Seagrove area.

Head south on Gulf Drive; you can take this road until it ends at Eastern Lake Beach Access or continue further west on Eastern Lake Road where you'll find the Ramsgate Beach Access.

Seagrove Beach:
Named for the thick grove of oak trees lining its coastline, Seagrove Beach is located in the heart of 30A. There's no better spot to experience everything 30A has to offer! Feeling adventurous? Rent a bike and jump on the 20-mile Timpoochee bike trail that runs right near the neighborhood. Visit famous Seaside and Grayton Beach State Park to the West. Head East and discover more of Seagrove Beach plus the wonderful coastal communities of Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach. Enjoy exploring the boutique shops, fabulous restaurants, and beautiful state parks in each of these communities.

An initial Benchmark signature box of amenities is provided for all guests. For the kitchen this includes: 1 roll of paper towels, 1 dish sponge, 1 dish soap, 2 dishwasher pods, 1 pack of kitchen wipes and liners for each trashcan plus 2 washing machine pods. For each bathroom it includes: 1 roll of toilet paper, 1 set of facial and bath soaps/body wash/shampoo/conditioner/lotion. For towels you will receive: 1 body towel/1 washcloth per guest and 2 hand towels per bathroom.

"The main reason for booking was the views from the observation deck that were pictured in the listing, and how the property looked secluded from the photos. However when we arrived there was a very tall home next door that was under construction and completely blocking any view to the ocean, and new homes build all around that overlooked the pool. The photos on the listing are VERY old and do not depict the home as it currently is. The home was also not as clean as we would have hoped. Dust caked on the ceiling fans, mold in the corners of the bathroom, sand all over the floor, dirty dishes put up in the cabinets, ants inside the porch, couches were dirty with food on them, just overall not to our expectations."

"Our family of 9 adults and 2 teens had a wonderful vacation the day after Christmas. The property was well maintained and very clean. The common areas had room for all of us and our group gatherings, while the beds and baths were quite comfortable and sufficient to meet our needs. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed preparing our own meals several times during our stay. It would be nice, however, if there had been a small cupboard of basic items like salt and pepper for guest use. As it is, though, Benchmark forewarned is of what would be provided, so what was not in the cottage we purchased or brought with us.
While our stay was not during the summer peak season, it was busy enough as we got in our cars to shop or sightsee that it makes me want to prepare future renters for how difficult it might be to get around going from one area to the next as you enjoy your stay in this beautiful beach area. Especially for older adults or the handicapped, getting around could be difficult and definitely time consuming. I mean, how many 80 year olds are going to bike everywhere? Not many. So, if you plan to take your parents and grandparents to vacation along SeaGrove, Seaside, Rosemary Beach, etc, be prepared for long and slow car lines. But, with all that said, we still had a delightful stay and would do it again, just not during the summer peak vacation times."

Would 100% stay here again with our family. Walk to the beach was not bad, but did have to walk through a little bit of the lake to get to the beach but worth it!"

"We had a great stay at Blue Bungalow! We had 9 adults and 2 kids total (2 and 3). The house was very clean and comfortable on a quiet and private street. Everything loved the pool area and screened in porches! The only downside is that there are only 2 small bathrooms upstairs with very little counter space. But we made due just fine. We would definitely stay here again!"

"Unfortunately we were not pleased with the way the property management was run and would not seek to rent from this agency again. Being supplied 4 rows of toilet paper and one trash bag for a house that advertises it sleeps 16 people is not realistic. Asking the renters to go out and buy additional supplies doesn’t work considering most of the time people are traveling and would not be able to bring rolls of toilet paper, trash bags, or paper towels home with them on an airplane. We've rented with other management companies along 30a and have been provided with an adequate amount of paper supplies and will be renting from them from now on. The pool was not cleaned and the management company was not willing to come out and clean it - we found several frogs in the pool and the filters were completely full. The home was lovely - furniture was great, location was great - loved being walking distance to the beach, unfortunately the weekend was tainted by the management company"

"We vacationed in this home for 7 days. The home is beautiful and served our needs for the week. However, we had to contact the property manager almost daily due to several appliance and plumbing issues. They resolved each issue in a timely manner except for the dishwasher improperly draining. The beach rental service agency Vacayzen was also an issue. All beach equipment we rented with our credit was very worn. Broken bikes, backpack chairs and umbrellas. We had to contact them daily as well. Overall, the house suited our needs, but I have never been on a vacation with a rental house that I had so many issues with that needed attention during a 7 day stay. This home needs a maintenance day overhaul."

"We loved the location! This home easily sleeps 16 people, but there are only two bathrooms upstairs where 14 people can sleep. It was fine for us because we didn’t max out the sleeping space. We did have a brief moment of panic when we first arrived because one of the bathrooms was locked from the inside, and we thought we had only one bathroom upstairs. Management sent someone very quickly to unlock it, so it wasn’t a problem. The dishwasher is not properly installed, so we had to be careful opening it, or it wanted to fall forward. There was the expected wear and tear associated with a rental property at the end of the season. Overall, we had a great time, and I would stay there again."

"I truly cannot say enough good things about our stay at the blue bungalow! This house was pretty close to perfect for us. The location was fantastic. It felt very secluded, but was still close enough to the beach access and was just minutes away from all of the action in Seaside. The interior of the house was decorated beautifully and very spacious. The large kitchen was a hit with all of the guests! Our favorite part of the house was definitely the backyard area. The pool was very clean and kid friendly. There was a very shallow part of the pool that was perfect for my two-year-old to play in. We also enjoyed the screened in porch at the back of the house. It was a great spot for evening family dinners or even an afternoon nap. There was really only one negative part of our stay here and that was the mosquitos! Obviously this is out of the property management’s control being that the house is right across the street from the lake, but it is worth noting. Just bring your bug spray and you will be ready for an amazing time at the blue bungalow!"

"My family had an amazing time staying at Blue Bungalow! The house is awesome and very large! The screened porches are the most relaxing for drinking coffee in the morning and grilling in the evening! It’s a short walk the beach board walk and the pool was enjoyed by all! The house was clean and ready for check in! The only thing I would change was the back door was very hard to open. Even for adults. We will be back to stay again! "The rental was more than we could have imagined. We were happily surprised that the unit was even more beautiful than the photos. It has a wonderfully stocked kitchen and the perfect 'hang out' living room space. We enjoyed the private pool that had all day sun, perfect for our age range of kids (7,3,5,1). We had one issue with the fan on the oven, but this was quickly and professionally resolved by the management company. All in all, a wonderful rental and a great experience."

"Plenty of room for all 16 of us. One of the bedroom’s were bunk beds, but 4 others were regular queen or king. The kitchen was great. We ate breakfast and dinner each day at the house. Mexican, Gumbo, Roast Beef, Buba Burgers, and Steaks. The pool was fantastic with a very shallow part for small children. Our 1 year old had a blast in the shallow part. We rented a cart which was perfect for going to the beach and trips for ice cream. Great rental. Highly recommend!"

"We loved the house! Having the pool there and the beach so close was amazing. Not a huge fan of that pool back door alarm, but I understand how it works to keep younger kids safe. Would like some outdoor lighting on the garage was very dark over there at night and no way to use the garage’s outdoor lighting because we couldn’t access it. Those two things would not keep me from coming again. It was a great experience!"

"Very unique house in a great location between Seaside and Rosemary Beach. Short 5min walk to the beach. Private pool and perfect size for a family with kids. Most houses with private pools in the area have several bedrooms and are designed for multiple families to share. This one is the perfect place for a family or two. Not big/not small, just ideal property size. Clean and updated."
