Description

Located in the center of Seagrove, the Emerald Hill complex is in the perfect place for easy access to shops, restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores and of course, the beach. On the south side of CR Hwy 30A, directly across from Seagrove Plaza, in the heart of beautiful Seagrove Beach, this 36 unit complex offers affordability and comfort. The property is centrally positioned and close to everything. A Publix grocery store is approximately 2 miles away, and a Tom Thumb gas station is within walking distance. This family friendly complex is very close to some of the area's most popular State Parks, as well.

This Gulf front community offers a large sunny pool. The private gated beach entrance is right on the property, which allows for swift access to the white sandy beach. The 19 mile paved bike/walk path that parallels the entire length of the scenic highway 30A is conveniently located in front of this complex.

Emerald Hill 6, a gorgeous 3-bedroom, 3-bath townhouse is meticulously maintained with high-end furniture, appliances and interior finishes, designed to create a relaxing, spa-like retreat. The property features an open living and dining area on the 2nd level with spectacular Gulf views, as the building sits on the edge of the dune. The 2nd level also includes a cook's kitchen and a bedroom with a queen-over-queen custom bunk bed. The large Gulf-front master suite on the 3rd floor opens to a spacious balcony overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Also on this floor is the 3rd bedroom with a king bed and private bathroom.

* Only umbrellas (7' max) are allowed on beach. No tents, cabanas, or canopies.

An initial Benchmark signature box of amenities is provided for all guests. For the kitchen this includes: 1 roll of paper towels, 1 dish sponge, 1 dish soap, 2 dishwasher pods, 1 pack of kitchen wipes and liners for each trashcan plus 2 washing machine pods. For each bathroom it includes: 1 roll of toilet paper, 1 set of facial and bath soaps/body wash/shampoo/conditioner/lotion. For towels you will receive: 1 body towel/1 washcloth per guest and 2 hand towels per bathroom.

"Unit 6 was awesome. Perfect location. We've been staying at Emerald Hill for 10 years and this is by far the best unit we've stayed in. My only complaint would be the lighting. The master bathroom is like a cave and could use some upgrades. The downstairs bedroom is also very dark."

"We have stayed in this complex, and this unit a few times over the years. We were disappointed upon arrival with the cleanliness of the main floor and some of the kitchen items. After calling the agency with some complaints, they were very prompt in rectify the situation. Kela, the manager, was exceptional to deal with through the process. We will definitely be returning! "A great time had by all from 3-75 yrs. of age. The pool was a great respite from the beach. Most rentals don't offer that perk. Crabbing after dark with such close proximity to our condo was perfect for the grandkids. Great proximity to shopping, groceries and restaurants galore. We could not have asked for more."

"Great location. Unit is ok, but needs updating.
Main floor slider had broken lock latch plate that was pointed out to mgt, and looked at by maintenance, but not repaired during our stay. Front entrance storm door wouldn’t close on its own and was not repaired either.

Stayed in this unit several times, or family has and it is never cleaned great before check in.
Toilets were dirty even after inspectors checked the unit on arrival day.
Dried urine all over based off toilets that appeared never to have been wiped.
The upstairs master toilet had dried vomit or diarrhea that was dripped down the toilet all the way to the floor that wasn’t cleaned.
None of the beds in all 3 bedrooms had blankets.
Sheets only.
When office was called to ask for more blankets for the beds we had another set of sheets delivered.
$5300 dollars for a week, and you can’t get adequate bedding is ridiculous.
I would be disappointed if I owned the unit and this was how it was managed. Overall appearance of the units has declined a lot over the last couple of years."

"Experience was fine although there were issues with both the unit and Benchmark. Unit had mold in bathroom and laundry rooms, window in guest room was broken and could not be fully closed - had to resort to putting a rolled up towel in it to fill the gap, front door was obviously broken into at some point in the past and the screendoor frame is bent and the door does not fully close unless the dead bolt is locked. We have been trying to get a quote for next year and after 7 days have yet to receive any information"

"We love this place and have stayed here twice now. It's great for small kids with the bunk bed room. We were disappointed at the cleanliness of the place. The ceiling fans had caked on dust and the corners of the rooms had dead bugs. They need a new cleaning company. The condo has aged since our stay last year-looking like theyve rented out a lot due to the outside maintenance and furniture wear in the living room."

"Great place to stay for a gulf coast vacation. There is one thing that really bugs me. I understand that dishes should be clean along with pots and pans and they should be cleaned before leaving. But when pots and pans are so old you nearly have to have a sand blaster to get the pans clean, I recommend that pots and pans should be replaced on a far more frequent basis."

"I rented this property for two reasons. 1- the sleeping arrangements as described met our needs and 2-We had rented it before under Garrett Realty. The description of beds and accommodations is still the same on the website however I was informed the week prior to arrival that one full bed bed had been removed. I was not told that the remaining full bed had been relocated to the lower level and the mattress was in horrible condition. We needed that room for an adult couple and it was extremely uncomfortable. The occupancy had also been reduced by 2. We were lucky that we have family who have a one bedroom unit we were able to use, but otherwise a family trip we had planned for many months would have been cancelled at the last minute. I felt that management had the upper hand and treated us in a very offhanded way days before our trip. I don’t recommend unit 6 as it is currently rearranged. Also cosmetically the stainless appliances are rusting and need replacement. Overall not a place I will stay again."

"The beach is back - not as big as the past but there is at least 25 yards from the high tide line to the dunes. This property has one of the shortest walks to the beach - and the unit (6) is truly ocean front - nothing but sand and sea views.
Note - washer/dryer are on the small side. Also the dryer is not vented to the outside.
Everything else in the unit is very nice. Updated bathrooms and kitchen. Furniture and beds are all in good shape."

"Stayed for 10 days. Liked the location but the cleanliness was questionable. Especially during Covid. Toilets were filthy. Stovetop was filthy. ThNk goodness brought Clorox with me and cleaned. Tried to stop by their office but it was ALWAYS closed. The people I spoke with early on were very nice. Not sure I’ll be back but might."

"Our experience started out on a very sour note but got much better after we were done dealing with Garrett Realty. We have gone through Garrett 4 out of the last 5 years for our Destin vacation and have had minor issues in the past. This year was different unfortunately and we will not book through them again. I was told by a friend a day prior to our arrival the beach front of our condo had eroded significantly from a storm 3 months prior and that their was little to no beach left. I was sent photos that represented little to no beach and black peat and cypress that were uncovered from the erosion. In an effort to get a bit more clarity and to see if their were any other available condo's at other locations that we could consider moving to I was told by a very rude woman that they couldn't control the weather and were not responsible for the beach conditions. To be fair that is absolutely correct, however people aren't renting the condo for its amenities they are renting it for the beach access and views. When you attach photos of a gorgeous expansive beach front on your website you have an obligation to at the very least report the changes to your customer if it is substantial. I asked to speak with another person and the woman told me that their were other people in the office but I could not speak to them. Fast forward to check in, we drove by the unit that we had rented at 4pm (check in) and noticed the driveway had 12 bicycles that were chained together in pairs blocking the garage. We had to move all of the bikes before unpacking. Also the dirty laundry from the previous renter was left in front of the door to enter the condo and we had to move that as well. Their was no blanket for one of the beds our 9 year old was sleeping in. The TV didn't work in the 2nd bedroom- was reported the first day but never got addressed. We made lemonade out of lemons obviously we are at the beach, but when you pay 5,000 a week expectations justifiably are higher."

"The condo itself was fantastic. Only a few downfalls like any of the TVs In the bedrooms would never connect so at night we were never able to watch tv when going to bed. As it is out of anyone but Mother Nature’s control, the beach was nonexistent. It had been washed away and we only got to spend the Sunday and Monday we were first there on the beach. It was beautiful to sit on the patio and enjoy but disappointing to spend all the money to go to a pool for a week."
