Our 2 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom condo situated on Main Street in Downtown Ouray is all about its unbeatable location. This well-appointed unit features a modern kitchen, hardwood floors, one-of-a-kind wood craftsmanship, with aspen ceilings. With all of the comforts of home, our suite provides the perfect all-season retreat for enjoying the abundant area activities that Ouray has to offer!

Parking - Main Street parking is available, other than the winter months. Parking on 8th Avenue next to the Goldbelt Restaurant is available year-round.

This suite is part of a three-unit complex called the Lotus Mountain Suites. The complex has a rich history in Ouray, dating back to the 1800s. Originally constructed in 1899 as the "OK Stables," the complex is located adjacent to the iconic red barn, formerly the "Ouray Livery Stables," whose current location is direct across the street present-day Lotus Mountain Suites location. The "OK Stables" were a mainstay livery that provided accommodations for Ouray's earliest travelers -- horsemen, gold seekers, gunslingers, and the like. The OK Stables were dismantled around the early turn of the century when they were moved and reconstructed across the street in their present-day location. During your stay, you may encounter several relics indicative of the suites' rich history.

The suite can be rented individually, or the Lotus Mountain Complex can be rented altogether.

We are taking appropriate steps to prepare for your stay and have asked all housekeepers to adhere to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance relative to cleaning and disinfecting. In addition to our regular rigorous cleaning regimen, they follow housekeeping best practices, pay close attention to high touch surfaces, and use the EPA-approved disinfectants for hard (non-porous) surfaces, soft (porous) surfaces, and electronics. Linens, towels, bedsheets, etc., are washed per the manufacturer's guidelines. We are also minimizing person-to-person contact from check-in through departure. One of the ways we're doing this is through no-contact guest access via our keyless entry system. We look forward to welcoming you to our home and hosting your stay.

Although the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has advised that Covid-19 is spread mainly by person-to-person contact, we follow CDC guidance relative to cleaning and disinfecting and are following best practices, including paying close attention to high touch surfaces and using the EPA-approved disinfectants for surfaces. Linens, towels, bedsheets, etc., are washed per manufacturer's guidelines. We are also minimizing person-to-person contact from check-in through departure.

Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days before the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

"Overall we had a great stay at this property. The location on Main Street was perfectly located and within walking distance of all the sites we were interested in.

The wood paneling and rustic touches were a nice addition to this property. We also loved the skylights that were built into the ceiling.

Now to the feedback that I want to provide for the property.

1. It would be nice to have small trash cans and tissues in each room of the house.
2. The dishes and pans in the house were dirty and had to be cleaned before use.
3. This was the first time we had stayed at an Airbnb or VRBO property that didn't have a washing machine and dryer. This would be a nice addition.
4. Having the ability to open the windows would have been great to enjoy the fresh mountain air.

Overall we enjoyed our stay!"

"This vacation rental is right on the main strip of Ouray. Perfect for walking to restaurants and shopping and hot springs. Parking on the street in front of rental. (Don't Park by the yellow curb) Walking distance to the trailer parking lot. Just across the street on 9th Avenue. There is a rental unit on the back side of this rental. Trash cans are located on the backside as well. Perfect home base from a day traveling the Alpine Loop. Large Tub/shower combo to wash the day off. Just FYI there isn't a washer and dryer. We wished there was some sort of outdoor seating to observe the comings and goings of Ouray. We will definitely be back!"

"This rental has a lot of positives, and a few minuses. Here's an honest review for those who like such a thing. The rental is very clean and an incredible location for accessing things in Ouray as well as a "base" for day trips. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen that was well supplied with pans, bowls, plates, and pretty much everything you could need. We did request more dishwasher "pods" which were delivered promptly the next day. We enjoyed the table for meals, games and the TV for football for the guys. The couch and loveseat are very comfortable, and the beds were great. All in all everything was perfect, with these few exceptions: 1) Mice. I don't mind dumping a mouse trap if needed, which we did the first night there. The second night we caught two mice which led to a lot of banging of traps on the wood floor and wall until they died. Not a great big deal, but just need to know your aren't living in the city. 2) the bathtub is approximately 20" off the floor. It is not handicap accessible, or really accessible for a lot of people. It is very clean and nice, just really hard to get in and out of. The bathrooms are in the back of the rental and the bedrooms up front FYI. Again, the location is perfect. Close to the hot springs, park, downtown, etc. It's quiet at night away from the middle of downtown. The trash is located in the alley roughly a block behind the rental up a hill. Something had got into the bins the night before but not really our problem. I don't know if the unit directly attached to the back is a rental or not, but we were not bothered by noise either night. All in all this property is a really nice one, although the price in the end with all the fees (? VRBO or property owner) jacks the price up a fair bit. We would definitely stay there again. So, there you go! PS. The fall colors this year made us forget any minor inconveniences. Also, the meat/cheese shop across the street is a must."

"If you are a family or group of friends (up to 6) this is a very nice, well equipped place, modernized but with wooden walls in a 19th century building, right in the middle of Main street. steps from groceries, liquor store, restaurants etc - a perfect complement to your Ouray trip. The mosts were responsive and there was nothing missing from this rental experience and nothing to criticize. look no further."

"This unassuming building houses three rental units, and I have stayed in all three at various times, This was my first time to stay in the 2 room suite on the bottom level. Positives- clean, convenient to town (on main street, close to pool,) nice wood work inside and nice bathroom. Negatives- need lots more lighting inside in my opinion, esp. in kitchen. The light over the stove was out which would have helped some. We had to bring a lamp from the bedroom to see what we were cooking. Could also use a TV upgrade to a smart TV so folks could screen mirror from phones and such. The dish selection of programs is very minimal. The no parking at night in front of the unit from Nov. to May is a bit inconvenient as well. All in all, though, a nice place that is way nicer inside that it looks from the outside. I will certainly stay here again if the price is right. Premier is also a good company to deal with."

"Worst cabin I’ve ever stayed in. We spent 7 days as a family of 4 and had 1 towel each for all 7 days. We were given 1 dish towel for 7 days. There is no washer and dryer so if you want those towels clean you have to pay to wash them. The chairs and couches are incredibly uncomfortable so after a day of hiking there is literally No Way to relax and unwind as the seats are so uncomfortable. The beds have blankets in them so heavy you have to wake up fully to lift them off of you to turn over. There is little room for groceries to be placed in proper areas. The microwave didn’t work at first as the kitchen had a blown fuse somewhere that only allowed half the lighting in the cabin to work proper. The cabin already has no windows or back door so it’s dark to begin with. This isn’t mentioned in any of the ads. The bath tub is so high and deep it takes everything you’ve got to get in and out of it as there is no step to help. An older person wouldn’t even be able to shower in this rental. Most uncomfortable stay I’ve ever had in Ouray. It was definitely NOT worth the $500 per night we paid for. Also, there’s a mouse that comes out every night and runs around your feet. Did I mention there inadequate storage for food? And a mouse as well. I have told many of my family members In Ouray to avoid this cabin and I will continue to spread the word. A total rip off."
