The Prince Family operated out of this location for many years at the Prince Motel and Fishing Pier. The family still runs the pier and you might remember Mrs. Prince in her hat. who graced the pier often.!

This unit is a 3 bedroom lockout. Your key will open a private door into a hallway. Once in that hallway there are 2 doors. One to an Oceanfront 2BR/2BA and the other to an ocean view 1BR/1BA. Each unit comes with a living room and a fully equipped kitchen

"We rented through Carolina Resorts Realty. Pam & team were great! The unit layout worked great for us, we locked the outside door & left the interior doors open to create one large suite. We will definitely use Carolina Resorts Realty again. I usually avoid units with carpet, but we took a chance because Pam told me they would clean the carpet the week prior to our arrival. I wore white socks all week on the carpet & they stsyed white! Thank you for clean carpet, Pam! Upon arrival, wee had an issue with the HVAC, they sent someone out ASAP. We will rent a Lockout unit again, but not 701/702, this unit had a few issues. All the beds were extremely uncomfortable, all three tubs were stained to the point of looking dirty. When we arrived my granddaughter told me there were big ants in her closet, they were roaches. The blinds were broken in the one bedroom unit, two of the balcony chairs were dry rotted, one already broken away from the frame. The things that were meant to spray water in the kiddy pool (roof top pool) didn't work, two of the 4 hot tubs didn't bubble. No issues whatsoever with Carolina Resorts Realty, just with the need of repairs at Prince Resorts & the cleanliness of the unit. The unit definitely needs updates & a deep cleaning."

"This unit is located right in front of Cherry Grove Pier. This year they were still working on the pier from the storm damage so there was only construction. But still one my favorite areas to stay in Myrtle beach. We had a family of 7 and this unit was perfect. The “lockout” was like a whole other unit. The only thing that was difficult was that unit didn’t have a balcony on the ocean. Everyone just came over for ocean watching on the main units balcony. The unit could use some updating as far as furniture goes that’s for sure, We had some trouble with the TV’s, but the rental company took care of that quickly. We enjoyed every bit of this area that it had to offer! One more note... the pools are not all in one area. The lazy river, a pool and hot tubs (which were not working while we were there) are located in the parking lot across the street of the Resort! It is the same color building just on the other side of the street and up on the 5 or 6th floor. Which made for a cool view, but kind of a long walk with little kids. Good information to know ahead of time! We would definitely do this location again. Also note the 3500 bar & grill was not as it says online. It is a ghost time at dinner time. They did say they were making changes but at 6pm on a Wednesday evening we were the only ones in the whole restaurant."

"This unit was obviously 2 separate units that are now merged. What that means is the Master has the worst view (with a small bed), while a guest room with 2 doubles has an oceanfront view. That was a major disappointment to walk into. The parents pay the cost, but the kids get the best view?! The Master is so compact that the "extra" living room/kitchenette became a giant closet (I'd prefer a larger bedroom and no couch. Other than that, it's total perfection."

"Loved the large, inside, oceanfront window and balcony. Updates are needed desperately and be prepared to wait on elevators. Did not like parking across the street and having to get on an elevator again to get to my vehicle (free parking was levels 3-8). Awesome fireworks from pier for July 4th."

"Upon entry, we noticed that the bedding was dirty, along with the stove and microwave. The AC was not working in 701 and we were informed that the washer/drier in 701 was also not working. It was 80 degrees and we called everyday. It wasn’t until Thursday that someone was sent to install a portable AC unit. We were leaving Friday night. Although, Pam was kind and apologetic, I wouldn’t recommend this place as it was a lot of money for things to be dirty and broken."

"Directions to the check in building was unclear.
A/C in our room was not working.
Washer machine was broke with standing water and towels in it.
Toilet in one of the bathrooms broke
Communication between resort and booking company was terrible.
Staff at resort were not on the same page you would get multiple different answer to the same questions.
Complaints were put in and either no follow up was made or took days to were it was too late.
A roach was found in the condo.
Overall I would never go back to this resort and would never recommend to anyone."

"This was the worst vacation experience I have ever had! We stayed at the Prince Resort unit 701/702. When we arrived the closet in the master bedroom was hanging off (when I called I was told “oh we’ll fix it when you leave”) TVs were not working but the worst was the 1st night my children had to sleep without sheets on their beds bc the rental company never delivered them as promised, when I tried to inquire about it the customer service was terrible! The unit was dirty as well it looked as though it had been awhile since it had been cleaned...plus I found trash in the unit! I was on the phone for over 3 hours off and on with no resolution! The next day we did get the sheets and the closet fixed. Over all the place, customer service and experience was just terrible! I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay here!"

"If you are looking for a location that is family oriented and on the quieter side, this is your spot. Over the years we have explored all parts of Myrtle Beach and this location and the extreme southern end are the best family oriented places. The only concern I had about this particular stay was that I felt that some of furniture was in need of updating and repair. Certainly not enough of a complaint to keep me from booking again."

"Stayed here for the 1st time. The only hiccup is check in, not at Carolina Resorts whom we rented through, and were great to work with, but at the resort itself. When you arrive you have to park under the oceanfront building and unload your car with everything you bring and HOPE you can find a cart to get everything in the elevator and to your room. If your staying in the main building at the Pier you then move your car to the other building ACROSS the street to park in the garage on floors 3-8.The pictures are misleading. We thought the resort was all oceanfront. There is the pool with the lazy river and a kiddie pool on top of the 2nd building at the 6th floor across the street with the parking garage, as well as the pools at the main building. If your planning on going out on the pier you will pay even as a guest!"

"Carolina Resorts Realty was wonderful and helpful, however this particular unit is in very bad shape and needs work. Handles are missing on both the kitchen and bathroom cabinets, towel hook on the back of the door was broken, lights in one of the bathrooms didnt work, chairs were ripped and filthy, pillows were horrible and the A/C quit working and had to be worked on twice in 4 days. Someone did come very promptly to fix it. These units need updating, cleaned better, and many repairs made. The resort itself is wonderful, but this unit isnt"

"The condo unit was filthy dirty the sofa was black the chairs were all black the patio furniture is all rusted and falling apart there was holes in the sheet rock walls the rug was filthy dirty it took me my daughter and my wife eight hours to clean that unit from the time we arrived we ran the vacuum 4 to 5 times it kept getting those four-cylinder of dirt and debris we washed all the covers from the sofa and the chairs in the washing machine and your day went from being black to white unit was in disrepair it was very dirty will never use this company again I contacted them several times and never got back in touch with me to help me never would recommend this rental company to anybody and I’ve been using it for over 20 years. Well This year ended that 20 year relationship with this rental company very displeased and very disgusted that they won’t even have the decency to call me back or return any of my emails to help me out maybe after one or two nights free for eight hours of cleaning on a vacation that I spent money on this satisfied very badly very poor organization in this rental company Barry discussed it with them...

Most other units had plastic table and chairs. Lots of drywall holes in the bathroom. Microwave didn’t work."

"We love staying at the Prince Resort. We have stayed in units 701 and 702 for over 10 years. The unit perfectly fits our sleeping needs. However, the mattresses are beyond horrible and all of us had backaches all week from sleeping in the old broken down mattress. Also the furniture on the deck is completely unacceptable and all rusted. Needs painted, new carpet, and comfortable living room furniture. It truly needs a complete update!"

"We have stayed in a lot of different places in N Myrtle Beach. I have never been so disappointed! The place was not clean, carpet coming loose in doorways, dirty drawers and cabinets in kitchen, microwave throwing beakers then finally quit, peeling places on the walls in baths, dirty shower curtains, curtains falling off the rods at the windows, rusty furniture on balcony (couldn’t even set out because if someone was scratched on the furniture we would end up at the hospital) balcony doors had no locks (both were broken) dirty furniture and nothing left for us to get our stay started. Always before there have been paper towels, trash bags, dish liquid, dishwasher detergent etc. two small rolls of toilet paper and there were 3 baths. No hair dryer, and when we called the front desk to get one they called back to say because we rented through another place they couldn’t provide one. How crazy is that! So here we have to go buy one! Elevators constantly down, in the building and parking garage! Had to take stairs along with an 82 year old lady down 7 flights of stairs. On our way down another lady with a small child had to walk down 16 flights. Not nice! The only good thing we can say was the WiFi was good and the place was in a good area."

Carpet coming down in middle bedroom, wall needs painting in dining area, tv remotes are bad and need labeled; light bulbs missing in 701, ceiling fan in 701 needs fixed, just little things to help make more presentable. Furniture needs cleaned; shower liner in master bathroom was terrible."

"The property is unsurpassed with amazing views. However, the property needs some tlc. The carpeting, flooring, walls, cabinetry and furnishings need to be fixed and updated. We cleaned the unit to where we were comfortable but it didn't help the fact that there were holes in the walls, broken doors and cabinets and scratched furnishings with old furniture. We made do, but it certainly wasn't astectically pleasing. I would recommend this unit if for nothing else the view, and it was comfortable...just not updated and pleasing to the eye. A little tlc would go a long way!"
