No. 219 at D Sands Condominiums is a privately owned condo we call "Whale of Fortune". Located in a south building that was added onto the property after the construction of the original, this one bedroom, one bathroom suite is located 15 steps up on the second floor and guests can take in those ocean views from the condo's large wall of windows or out on the private balcony.

Bring the whole family because Whale of Fortune can sleep up to a party or family of 6. Enjoy the privacy of the King bed in the bedroom, or opt for the Queen in the living room to fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean. A sleeper sofa in the living room sleeps 2 more, and is across from the TV and a gas fireplace so that you can enjoy a cozy stay on even the rainiest of Oregon Coast's days. The bathroom features both a shower and a bathtub.

Whale of Fortune also comes equipped with a fully stocked kitchenette, complete with full-sized refrigerator, stovetop, oven, drip coffee maker, and microwave, and a small dining table to allow you to enjoy an oceanfront dining experience from the comfort of your condo.

The Unit of Association Owners, our HOA, provides Wi-fi and cable TV throughout the complex, an indoor heated pool, and a hot tub. D Sands Condominiums also features its own easy and private beach access so that guests can take full advantage of our oceanfront location and play in the sand and surf.

Centrally located in the middle of Lincoln City, D Sands Condominiums is an easy walk to Kyllo's, Lincoln City's favorite restaurant on the beach, a wine bar, Chinese food and so much more. A quick car ride can take you to the Chinook Winds Casino or the Lincoln City Outlets, not to mention all the other fun dining, shopping, and activity destinations in town.

If you walk 15-20 minutes on the beach to the north, you will find natural tidepools with all kinds of sea life. Or stay a little closer to home, and take in one of the most famous rivers in the world, the D River, the shortest river on the planet. The D River State Recreation Area is adjacent to the property, and provides even easier access to the beach in the form of a gradual slope. We're also conveniently close to a variety of other recreation areas and hiking trails for the avid nature lover.

Come enjoy awe-inspiring ocean views, access to the condominium spa and pool, and proximity to everything Lincoln City has to offer! Book your vacation today!

Very good
"Whale of Fortune was a room that was perfect for us. There were a few dings in the wall where the recliner had hit. The view of the ocean is breathtaking. We saw some seals frolicking in the waves one morning. The heat register in the front room was not working. We went to the office and it was closed but there was a worker there doing some maintenance. We explained the problem and he quickly went to the room and fixed it. When we got back the room was toasty warm for us. While there we got some delicious chowder from Moe's. We gambled a bit at Chinook Winds and before we left we won a jackpot that covered everything we had gambled that day plus $3.00! We ate dinner one night at Zenners and had a delicious coffee drink. The fries are to die for! Crispy and hot! We finished out our stay with a breakfast at Otis Cafe. Wonderful service and staff - so warm and friendly. You definitely get a lot of food and it's delicious! Got a pie to go and a loaf of their molasses bread. We had a wonderful stay. It was quiet and relaxing and everything we were looking forward to. Thank you!"

"This was an excellent choice for an extended stay (10 nights). Everything went smoothly, from check in to check out. The beach view was wonderful, and it was a perfect place to tour that part of the coast. I enjoyed the full kitchen with enough cooking equipment to make meals I wanted, and the fireplace was nice in the evenings! The staff at the place was helpful and kind. I would go back if the opportunity ever arises again!"

"Everything was as advertised. The condo was clean and ready. No problems checking in. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pool and hot tub were fine. I loved the view of the beach every day. I’d stay here again."

"The condo we stayed in was great. It was really clean, which I appreciated, the beds were comfortable and of course the view was great. We had a bit of trouble with the remotes for the TV's, but the young lady at the front desk came right over and fixed us up! Would be helpful to label those:) The only maintenance issue we experienced was a leak from the upper unit. Whenever they showered, it was running through the ceiling tiles into our bathroom. Sounded like a tiny waterfall. It was addressed right away and fixed up though. The maintenance staff were really nice and it was good as new after they were done! We've been coming to Lincoln City for years but never stayed in a Condo before. We really enjoyed it and the unit was perfect for what we needed. We look forward to staying again!"

"We arrived late Friday night and stayed through Sunday. The hotel has a great location right on the beach. Walking distance to restaurants. The room was clean and smelled nice. The beds and pillows we're comfortable. It was a little outdated but it's a beach condo, it comes with the territory. My husband and I said that that is our new spot and we will stay at D Sands from now on when in Lincoln city."

"My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay. The condo was great. Wonderful view, right on the beach. One of the first things we noticed was that the windows looking out over the beach were clean. We've been to other places where the windows were terribly dirty. The condo was very clean except the top of the refrigerator was not clean and the inside of the refrigerator smelled a little fishy. Our communication with the management was very satisfactory all the way along. We were impressed by their responsiveness. We're hoping to come back again!"
