No. 116 at D Sands Condominiums is a ground floor, privately owned studio condo we call "Ship Happens". Located in a south building that was added onto the property after the construction of the original building, the front door of this condo offers parking lot level access on the highway side, but guests can enjoy a breathtaking ocean and beach view from a private balcony on the ocean-side of the condo.

Ship Happens can sleep up to 2 people on a comfortable queen bed, which is adjacent to a gas fireplace so that you can enjoy a cozy stay on even the rainiest of Oregon Coast's days. The bathroom features a walk-in shower, and there's also a loveseat for enjoying the view through a wall of windows.

Ship Happens comes equipped with a fully stocked kitchenette, complete with full-sized refrigerator, stovetop, oven, drip coffee maker, and microwave, and a small dining table to allow you to enjoy an oceanfront dining experience from the comfort of your condo.

The Unit of Association Owners, our HOA, provides Wi-fi and cable TV throughout the complex, an indoor pool, and a hot tub. D Sands Condominiums also features its own easy and private beach access so that guests can take full advantage of our oceanfront location and play in the sand and surf.

Centrally located in the middle of Lincoln City, D Sands Condominiums is an easy walk to Kyllo's, Lincoln City's favorite restaurant on the beach, a wine bar, Chinese food and so much more. A quick car ride can take you to the Chinook Winds Casino or the Lincoln City Outlets, not to mention all the other fun dining, shopping, and activity destinations in town.

If you walk 15-20 minutes on the beach to the north, you will find natural tidepools with all kinds of sea life. Or stay a little closer to home, and take in one of the most famous rivers in the world, the D River, the shortest river on the planet. The D River State Recreation Area is adjacent to the property, and provides even easier access to the beach in the form of a gradual slope. We're also conveniently close to a variety of other recreation areas and hiking trails for the avid nature lover.

Come enjoy awe-inspiring ocean views, access to the condominium spa and pool, and proximity to everything Lincoln City has to offer! Book your vacation today!

"We had a great stay at Ship Happens. I appreciate that the description matched the actual unit. It was very clean, and the view was amazing. We had the cozy fire going most of the time, as the weather was interesting…snow at the beach! I’d be happy to stay here again!"

"We enjoyed our stay in unit 116-Ship Happens. The location was perfect and it was very clean. Communication from management was excellent! The fireplace made it quite cozy on a cool night. Just my thoughts on improvements would be to add a bed skirt and updatethe bedding to something a little nicer and more complementary to the decor. Also, there was no hair dryer. Otherwise. Would definitely rent again."

"Our room was perfect. We had such an awesome view. Unfortunately we weren't able to sit on the deck because of the weather but that was okay. We had the most relaxing time while we were there. The only thing was when I went to use the microwave my finger got pinched because the handle was broken. I was still able to use it by opening it with the top of the handle. I told the girl in the office when we left because I didn't want her to think that we broke it. We would definitely stay there again and feel so blessed we had the opportunity to stay there."

"I think they should change the name of the unit. Ship happens does not imply you are going to have a good time."

"It was good besides we went and got dinner and there was no place at all to park my pickup. So I got pretty stressed out on that for a little bit. Ended up parking up by the highway a little bit off the sidewalk. Besides that it was great thank you."

"Studio unit was beautifully and tastefully decorated. Bed and furniture were comfortable. Furnishings including kitchen we're functional and sufficient except for having no hairdryer, which is a major mistake in my book. At this class and price of accommodation, hairdryers are expected and universally furnished. We stayed in two different units, and the second one had a hair dryer. This inconsistency in basic furnishing is quite irritating and shouldn't occur."

"We enjoyed a wonderful time in Ship Happens 116. One unnerving event was the late evening I was sitting on the balcony when dark rat ran the length of the balcony between condos. It ruined the peaceful evening."

"We found a last-minute window to head to the coast, but were worried about finding an affordable accommodation. We booked just 2 1/2 weeks before our stay and were overwhelmingly happy with the condo we go through the D Sands. The room had all new paint and decor, and the sounds of the ocean right outside our window was exactly what we needed for our stay. Plenty of towels, seats, and kitchen items to satisfy our every whim, We are definitely keeping this one bookmarked for future trips to Lincoln City."

"We were disapointed the pool was closed. Offered us to drive to a pool but I didn’t come here to drive to the pool. We would not have stayed here without a pool. Beautiful unit, close parking, walkable to things around. Love the balcony. May God bless this unit."

"Location was great. No air-conditioning left a very warm room and where condo is people were on beach all night so leaving door open was noisy. Room VERY outdated. View was amazing."
