Description

This multi-level, 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo sleeps 4 with a king bed, queen bed, and twin bed. It is located in a building that is nestled amongst mature pine trees. Third floor walk-up with vaulted ceilings and a private balcony that offers peaceful views of the mountains and trees.

This third floor walk-up features a spacious living area with a gas fireplace and a large flat screen TV. The homeowner added new furniture in the Fall of 2017 that offers plenty of comfortable seating. The private balcony can be accessed through the living room and offers beautiful views of the mountains and trees. Enjoy the gas grill on your private balcony while you take in the views.

The full-sized kitchen is stocked with all the essential cookware and tableware to make a meal away from home and the dining area comfortably seats six with four additional seats at the breakfast bar. The first of two full bathrooms is just down the hall and features a single sink vanity separated from the shower/tub combination and toilet area for added privacy. Both bathrooms are stocked with towels and an initial supply of toiletries.

The primary bedroom is located upstairs in the spacious loft area and has a king-sized bed with Ivory White Bedding, a flat screen TV, a spacious seating area and offers scenic views through the picture frame windows. The en suite bathroom has double sinks and a door separates the shower/tub combination and toilet area for added privacy. Back on the main level, the guest bedroom is down a few stairs. It has a queen-sized bed and a twin-sized bed, both with Ivory White Bedding and a flat screen TV. There is also a twin-sized mattress in the closet that can be pulled out for another sleeping arrangement.

**Ultra-premium Linens and Ivory White Bedding** This property has been upgraded with ultra-premium linens and ivory white bedding. Our ultra-premium linens rival those of The Four Seasons featuring extra soft, oversized towels and high quality bed linens that have a subtle satin stripe pattern for a look of elegance. The ivory white bedding is modeled after high-end hotels and resorts. This bedding showcases a soft, white-striped duvet cover with a medium thick, high quality down alternative duvet. Featuring an uncompromising and industry leading standard of cleanliness, the duvet covers are laundered after each and every guest stay.

(For additional sleeping options, air mattresses are available upon request for a small fee.)

"The place was fine except for a few issues. The downstairs bathroom sink was completely clogged making it barely usable. The downstairs bathroom had a bunch of hair in it from a previous guest. The fan blower on the gas fireplace made very loud noises off and on, which was bothersome in the evening when trying to relax.

Aside from the above mentioned cons, overall the place was nice. Very convenient to Keystone ski area."

"I loved the rugs, blankets, and all the kitchen stuff (except a pot...there were not pots, just one large one). The bed was great, and everything was awesome. It's just always the directions and getting to a place that is very stressful. We had a hard time getting there, figureing out the garage, and identifying the building. Maybe texting that with the address would be better, it was like the address will come in a separate email, and it was dark and very hard to find. I didn't realize the garage was in the construction zone, not the first entrance...all this clarification would have made it easier. Overall a great place."

"We were very satisfied. We liked the well equipped kitchen with the new appliances, the view and plenty of room and separate beds (mattress) for each of the 3 teenagers. I would have liked the apartment even more if kitchen cabinets would not smell moldy, and the king bed in master would not be too soft and if those old bathroom taps would be easier to turn. None if these ruined the vacation. (The community pool did not have towels and the sauna was broken, but property management told me it is a HOA issue)."

"The photos of the beds did not match what was in the unit. The twin bed was actually a day bed with a foot and headboard, which didn't allow for comfortable sleeping for a tall adult. I was glad we brought an air mattress as a backup for the fourth adult. We could not get the fireplace to work. What was most difficult was I received text messages asking for my departure time before I had even checked into the unit for the night. If check in is at 4: 00 or 4: 30 and check out is at 10 am, that is the time you paid for. You should not have to relay your arrival and departure times if they are within the set time frames. I was hoping to relax but kept receiving emails and texts about this unit. I understand over-communication can be helpful, but I found it to be distracting and unhelpful. I was happy to receive clear check-in instructions in advance, but that was all that was needed. The mini coffee pouches are not meant for that size coffee maker. We tried to make coffee at the appropriate strength for 4, but it didn't work well. We opted to go out and buy coffee in the morning. The mini shampoo and soaps were very hotel like, which was also tough for 4 people. It was a great location and spot for people who need a place to stay in the area, but I was frustrated by some of the things listed above. I have not had that experience when staying at other VRBO locations or Airbnb locations that are managed by an owner or a smaller company."

"We had a wonderful 5 night stay at Quicksilver 1658 in July 2021. It was clean and comfortable and met our needs. We ended up spending more time in the condo than we had expected due to rain and it was really nice to have the homey experience rather than a hotel. It also made the trip much more affordable than renting two hotel rooms, plus we cooked many of our meals there instead of dining out. If you have a problem with climbing stairs at this altitude it is not the place for you but we were fine.

The king bed in the spacious upstairs loft was very comfortable. There was a lovely view from the loft out the windows in both directions. I was concerned that it might be too warm to sleep without air conditioning but it was perfect when we were there with the windows open. However, there was an issue with the floorplan with the noise carrying from below to the open loft since our family does not all go to bed at the same time.

It was nice to have a queen and a twin in the second bedroom rather than two twins like other options that were available at our late booking date. Our adult children slept in that room and at 6'4" our son would not have fit well in a twin. There was an additional mattress in the closet that we could have used if another had decided to join us.

The kitchen was well appointed. The only thing that I needed but could not find was a vegetable peeler.

We had other relatives who stayed at the Keystone Lodge and Spa and once we figured it out it was an easy 8 minute walk on a pretty path past the tennis courts through a parking lot to the walkway under the highway to the Lodge. The Lodge has a beautiful trail around a lake as well as a restaurant and other amenities. River Run Village is also close by with the gondola to the top of Dercum Mountain, restaurants and shops.

We did not use the indoor pool and hot tub but they were open. The tennis courts were right there and we played tennis a for a"

Had booked a previous lower level condo there, but they called and offered us this one since ours was being remodeled. Probably would choose a lower level again but views were wonderful! Had grandkids there also and they loved it. Indoor pool was great and the location was great, too. The water pressure was a little low and not sure why. Beds were very comfortable, too. The unit is spacious and beds are comfortable. Great views with a very nice porch. We had a problem with the fridge not working properly and brought it to management's attention. There was a new mini fridge in the dining room but it was not large enough to accommodate our needs since we were staying a week and COVID-19 is currently going on so many restaurants are closed and we also wanted to cook our own meals. We had to make more trips to City Market in Dillon since fridge didn't hold much. Also had problems with regulating it and it getting too cold and freezing and ruining our food. Wish that main fridge would have been fixed or replaced before our stay since someone must have known that it was not working properly and brought in the mini fridge."

The balcony and grill or on usable and blocked off. The upstairs master fan in the bathroom has a hole in it where you can see through there are no window coverings in the bedrooms. The entire place was under construction and it was not disclosed when we booked. We brought food that we can't even cook because we cannot get to the grill outside. The dishwasher backs up into the sink.

After speaking to the management company they offered in written text that they would refund us $100 for our stay but have yet to follow through on their promises. "Entry into the property was easy - the instructions for picking up the key and finding the apartment were straight forward.

We had everything necessary in the apartment for a comfortable stay for a family of four - all adults. The kitchen is large enough and well equipped to prepare your own meals. The wifi works well, TV's with Netflix access is great, and comfortable furniture.

Some of the instructions - for the thermostats (there were several) were vague, it wasn't immediately obvious which one controlled which zone; also the instructions for the fireplace seemed to be for another apartment because it didn't mention at all that there is a separate fireplace thermostat to adjust the flame.

These same issues also led to disparate temperatures in the apartment. The master bedroom is up in a loft, which opens up to the downstairs and so was always hotter than the rest of the apartment.

However, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again!"

I have stayed at many VRBO's and found many more kitchen items in others. We got by but more heat and eat versus cooking meals in my opinion. I gave this 4 starts. It's not bad, good price for a holiday weekend but would not be my first choice. Owners need to update the condo. 3 flights of stairs, carrying up and down all the gear is a challenge. Not on mountain side but the Keystone BUS STOP is right there and very close. Parking is there but if you get in late you will have a hard time finding a spot. Overall not bad but not great. Kids liked the pool and hot tub, just remember to bring your own towels for that. They are not provide. I thinks it would be great to add a queen bed and have one twin in each of the rooms for additional sleeping. We had 2 kids so it was fine but there is enough room for another more comfortable bed versus the pull out sofa. NO frills, but serves the purpose and way better than a hotel room!"

The building only has outdoor parking, which could be an issue during ski season. If those things are not a problem, then this is a great choice."

"With the price being taken into account, this place was awesome. It is an ode to 1980, but who doesn't want a little nostalgia in their lives...

It was very outdated, but was roomy and clean. It had all the necessities, dishes, pots, coffee maker, etc.

Views were great and location was awesome.

I would definitely stay here again."

"Didn't use many of the facilities, but the room was in good shape, and the price was one of the best around for the time we went. Can't rate the staff, because I didn't speak to any of them, but also never had a problem."

"For the price, this place was the bomb. Huge ceilings. Spacious floor plan and loft. Great central area. This place sleeps 8, but honestly could do 12 in a pinch hahaa. Perfect for socializing.

Are the amenities and decorations the nicest I've ever had? No. Did I pay for that? Nope. It's an awesome cheapish ski condo with a great indoor heated pool and hot tub. Thank you!"

"Condo had food crumbs and trash under every couch, couch cushion and bed. Light fixture was broken that we were charged for as well as when we arrived to check in, we had to wait several minutes to be helped because two of the employees telling each other life stories were more important than service. Very unprofessional."

"I would have been happy paying $89 a night like I originally booked the place for. When I moved the stay earlier by 2 days, the rate increased some due to "spring break season". The place was fine for $89 but not any more than that."

"Great place, great location, condo was very spacious, beds were not so comfortable. Our unit was on the third floor and there were no elevators. Didn't think that would be a factor, until we had to make multiple trips up and down to bring in luggage and groceries. The pool, hot tub, washer & dryer were not located inside the building where our unit was. I would stay here again only if I could get a 1st floor unit."

"Having stayed in several other rental places at this and neighboring ski resorts, this one was average. I was disappointed at the lack of cooking utensils available in the kitchen, as we like to cook our own meals. The selection of dishes etc. was less than other places also. It forced us to eat most of our meals out.

We had to call for linen for the sleeper couch, as it was not found in the unit.

Overall, the price paid and the value received were not close enough to want to return, or allow us to recommend this place to a friend."

"The condo was nice but needs some updates. We didn't realize that the wood wasn't supplied for the fireplace so we had to buy it plus some logs to start it:( They need to install a gas fireplace and update the furniture. The lower bathroom was VERY cold. The price was very reasonable and the location was good."

"Very average- only good thing was the real fireplace but you have to buy your own wood and starter. Nothing has been updated. Kitchen VERY old and only the most basic cooking tools and dishes. Furiture really basic, most pictures have been taken off the walls. All light switches have years of grime on them. Probably the worst vrbo property (out of over 100 in 20 yrs) we have stayed in. Pool and laundry are not anywhere close to condo. Bus route is close, but parking is free in Keystone. I wouldn't stay here again."

"Great place. We had a lot of trouble with the Keystone shuttle, however. I highly recommend that if you stay here, you should use the Mountain House base area for skiing. Mountain House can be reached with one shuttle. We rented skis & made River Run our base for skiing unfortunately, because it takes 2 shuttles to get there from the condo. One night it took us an hour to get back to the condo."

"Pros: Great location, shuttle right at your door, wood fireplace, property mgmt quick to respond when we asked for firewood, easy ck in/out.
Cons: dining chairs squeaks and falling apart, certain areas of carpet not vacuumed, shortage of utensils, exhaust fan in MBath not working, one of the twin sheets placed had a lot of hair (washed or not?), master bed was very uncomfortable.
I have to say this place has LOTS of potential but just needs a major makeover."

"Nice spacious large Condo. Nice design with large windows and views. Condo could use some updating with newer furnishings. Manual can opener did not work, electric one not available. Owners should consider placing king bed in back bedroom on main level bc its way more private, And placing both twins in the loft and add another 3rd twin or full bed to maximize their rentals."

"As the other reviewers stated, it is dated, but good for the value. Only complaint would be that the trash under the kitchen sink was not taken out when we arrived.

The kids loved the BIG pool all to them selves. The pool, sauna, hot tub, shower rooms were very well maintained, stocked and CLEAN!

Thanks for the great "1st snow of the season" weekend."
