"Our family stayed at this location and it was a total of 14 of us. In terms of space it accommodated us. But unfortunately throughout the stay we noticed many things at the property that made us uncomfortable. It was not clean and had leftover items from previous stays. There was hair on the ground of every bathroom. There were used feminine products underneath the couch. In one of the bedrooms there was someone’s shorts left behind. As mentioned above it accommodated for the number of people in our group but was dirty and made the group uncomfortable."

"The condo is set up for 4 families/2 of those with kids. Dated is all that can be said. It needs TLC and maybe some remodel. There was NO ski locker key nor drain plugs for the kitchen sink. The kitchen faucet was loose, the dishwasher top tray was not right. Fridge was missing a door bin. Freezer missing a tray. Plenty of plates/glasses/silverware. Bowls, containers and skillets could be improved. Wall plugs were few (built before cell phones) and some needed attention. Lighting needs attention as well. Bathroom/kitchen drawers are becoming worn from use. Most of the sinks drained very, very slow. The hot tub was nice and hot. No pool towels were available. Very limited on room towels since pool didn't have any. A couple of beds need more comfortable mattresses. Everything else was good. Nice size dining table. Access to building/parking was fine. Friendly maintenance staff was VERY helpful. Location is very good for price. I would recommend this property with upfront explanations of condition. We were satisfied with condition, but it could use improvement. It was clean but had a worn feel."

"I stay in Keystone every year and have stayed in this building before. The master shower had very little pressure so I showered upstairs. The granite tiled kitchen counter was missing a tile. Both sinks in the master wouldn’t drain. A piece of the master shower seal is pulled out and lying in the shower. The trim under the master bath was in poor repair. We didn’t have enough washcloths for the 5 people staying. We couldn’t get the temperature cooler at night in the bedrooms so opened windows each of 5 nights. We turned the thermostat down to 60 and the bedrooms were 73 degrees all night. The carpet and floors were clean. Washer and dryer are full size and nice. I’ve stayed at several of the units at this location and this one needs some maintenance but the others didn’t have the big washer and dryer. I didn’t contact management regarding these issues during my stay."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The living room was a great place to gather for our large family (9 of us...all adults with one toddler) with plenty of seating. Check in and check out was very convenient and easy. We had no problems with our stay but I know it would have been very easy to reach out with any questions or concerns. There were plenty of dishes and pots and pans to meet our needs in the kitchen. It is a good location as we were easily able to go to Breckinridge, Silverthorne, Lake Dillon, and our adult kids took an evening to go to Denver. Lots of good hikes and good shopping within good distance! This was a very comfortable, clean, and budget friendly place to stay. I would recommend this to any family and hope we have the opportunity to stay here again."

Definitely needs some new frying pans as we did ask for a new one. The one we had was flaking off in our food. One of the upstairs tubs drained super slow so when showering we were standing in about and inch or two of water. Those are minimal issues. We hope to be back."

"We are very familiar with the Gateway Condo building. Have stayed in several different units within the building for about 10 years. Works well for my daughter who uses a power wheelchair.
first time in this unit. Very clean. nice decour, comfortable furniture. More than a few irritating mechanical issues that were brought up with management company, but don't think fault of owner. However those issues did not interrupt our wonderful time.

accessibility benefits
-easy parking close to doors
-free resort shuttle bus with lift
-unit had good open space, 2 bdms down, large doorways, large downstairs bathrooms. easy to use a portable hoyer lifting system for transferring and toileting.
-no roll in shower, HOWEVER, private accessible shower in bathroom on main lobby floor.

Our only complaints would be: The parking garage filled, forcing us to hunt around for a spot outside despite being guaranteed a spot in the garage; and also the host graciously gave us late checkout, but our access code stopped working at the normal checkout time which got us stuck outside of the building. "The location and amenities are great. It's walking distance to the River Run Gondola. The management company was very responsive and professional. The property needs a deep clean and some maintenance though. The rug in the living room was not swept. There was a bloody handprint on the fireplace glass. There are several light bulbs that are burned out. One of the upstairs bathroom sinks drained very slowly, which made it gross pretty quickly. 2 small challenges. First, dining. While there was sleeping for 15 people, the dining table only fit 6. That said, we made it work with the bar seats and coffee table. Second, no A/C. I know that most of summit county residences do not have A/C due to very moderate summer temps, but even with windows open and fans running, we were still warm.

That said, these were truly small issues for us and we enjoyed the place greatly!"

"Okay place, but admittedly a little disappointing. Not as big as pictures would indicate. It was nice, but in need of some remodeling/updating. For example, one bed broken and unsleepable, screens missing or in need of repair, one window device in need of repair, some lamps did not work, inadequate parking for a 4-bedroom, and for some reason a fire alarm was covered up with a plastic bag. To Summit County Mountain Retreats management company's credit, they did correct some of the issues while we were there. Also, faces Hwy 6 so one heard traffic all day and night long. I was desiring a once-in-a-lifetime spot for a full family vacation and I was somewhat disappointed as I wanted better."

"We stayed at the condo with a group during our kids' ski race weekend. The condo fit our group well - the bedrooms are laid out well for families and there was ample space. For racers, be aware that there are two "bases" and the racing venue may be from the other base (close, but not within walking distance). My only complaint is the check-in process and parking information. It's overly complicated: Get an email to log onto website which tells you to wait for a text; get a text to check your email that tells you to log onto the website which says to wait for a text etc.... The parking information is also not clear or entirely accurate."

"My family enjoyed our stay at this condo but there was definitely room for improvement. We had 12 people (8 adults, 4 kids) and it was cozy. The upstairs loft was a good reprieve for the kiddos and allowed them a bit more room to play. The location of the condo is great and only a short bus ride to the resort. The condo allows 1 spot for parking but my vehicle wouldn't fit due to the ski box on top. The manager allowed me to park out front with no issue. I was worried parking would be an issue (we had 3 cars) but the complex was accommodating.

Unfortunately, there are quite a few negatives to this condo that could easily have been corrected with general maintenance and better communication. The dish washer was broken for the first 2 days we were there. Typically not a huge deal but washing dishes for 12 (x3) is a lot.....especially on vacation. I communicated that the appliance was not working right away but it took multiple calls, emails and a text to get an answer on when it would be fixed. There was also quite a bit of black mold on the shower curtains and in the windows. Several of the showers and faucets were leaking and/or stopped up.

I'm not sure what the agreement is between the owner and management for repairs but this condo just needs a good once over for maintenance and a deep cleaning.

"We stayed here for a girls weekend with 10 people. We had plenty of room for everyone. The location was fantastic for walking to all bars, restaurants, shops, hikes etc. The only slight complaint we had was the code for the garage didn't work, the door codes to get into the building stopped working and had to be reset. We heard this from many people staying there so I think it was a problem with the whole building. Also we were there on off season so we figured out that we could park behind the building, everywhere else you could not leave your car overnight except for 1 spot in the garage. With a condo that sleeps 14 (we had 4 cars) it seems like there should be more than one parking space. It wasn't a big deal for us because there weren't many people there but if it was a busy time parking would have definitely been a problem. Also the kitchen was very minimally stocked. Would have been nice to have basics such as cooking oil, aluminum foil, can opener etc. Overall the condo was nice and served its purpose. We would stay there again but a few small things could make it better."

The pool and hot tub were closed the first 2.5 days we were there (out of 5 days) so the use of amenities was lacking. Everything worked fine and it was clean. "THe location was excellent. It was easy access to parking, ski areas, restaurants and scenic areas. The rental unit itself had a nice layout for 14 people. Our group included 5 families - 2 families included young children for which the bunk beds worked well. On site parking was limited especially for our full size van. The drawbacks to the unit were the beds. I would describe them as tired. The three main beds created a sleeping experience that can only be described as TACO like - everything moved to the center. The pullout was extremely worn and gave no support whatsoever. There were other small issues like tub/showers that had black mold and needed clean caulk. The carpet had many stained areas. Most areas needed cosmetic repairs that would be simple and quick making the unit much more acceptable. The reason I say this is that on the whole the unit has excellent potential but these shortcomings made it less desirable."

The pullout couch in the hallway makes that space tight. The bathrooms ratio was nice. The master bedroom was a great space. The TV in the master bedroom should have been in the living room. Loved having the Keurig and the coffee pot. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. The room was not cleaned while we were there. The restaurant was open while we were there. We wished that the store had been open. There are good restaurants nearby. We enjoyed our time in Keystone."

"This unit worked well for what we were looking for, a place big enough to fit four families for a weekend of fun. The unit needs some care, I thought it seemed a bit pricy for the condition and location. We faced Hwy 7 and there was no air flow and when the windows were open at night the noice from the road was loud. The electric plugs were weird, all the lights and things kept falling out. the glass on the fireplace fell out and the tile in the bathroom is starting to look moldy. but overall the kitchen was well stocked with supplies, only 6 chairs for the table, so eating in shifts was required."

"We had an excellent time, and anything we asked for was taken care of right away. The place is perfect for a large family or families getting together. We really stayed in and still had space for the adults and a separate space for the kids. Thank you for the wonderful weekend!"

"Almost everything about our stay at Gateway 5040 was perfect. The condo is spotless, large, and well-equipped. The location was wonderful. Our family group of 15 had plenty of room. We did call the office about a couple of issues and while they were not fixed, we managed OK anyway. I would recommend staying here

"The location of the rental was very close to the resort. We were able to walk back and forth instead of waiting every time for a shuttle. The room was very spacious and well laid out. Check in and out were very easy and stress free."

"I surprised my boyfriend for this 30th birthday with a snowboarding trip including his closest friends. There were 11 of us total in the condo, and we had a wonderful time. The property was beautiful, spacious, and well-maintained. The kitchen was wonderfully stocked and all the linens were included too. I would highly recommend this property for any group. Logistics were coordinated well in advance and our stay was problem-free! The condo is one shuttle stop away from River Run, and an easy 7 minute walk back from the slopes. I would highly recommend this property to all of my friends and relatives!"

"The unit was large enough for our family of 11 that stayed. However, would not stay there ever again. We were on the 3rd floor and the day we arrived the elevator was broken so we had to haul ourselves up the stairs and of course when you have a full day of skiing who wants to climb stairs. It was not in working order the entire length of our stay and when we left we had to haul all the suitcases down the stairs. In addition I had asked for an early checkin and understand that the unit needed to be cleaned. I did not get in the until until after 4 o'clock and was not granted any extension for a later checkout. Check out was at 10 however the cleaning crew was there at 9: 45 am rushing us to leave. A couple of minor issues with the unit such as the dishwasher was broken and there was not an ice-maker. The mb shower was not very good at all. I will never use this reservation company again! I know it was a busy time but for the price and poor location of the complex it was not warranted. Pay the few extra dollars for ski in/ski out it is totally worth it! I didn't realize how crowded the ski slopes were and everything we tried to do was booked solid. That was my fault for poor planning but when you spend $10K for a family vacation you are become disappointed when the unit is not good and you have to drive to Vail just to do the sledding."
