"We had a wonderful time at Casa 136. It was our second stay in this condo and we’ve already booked it again for January 2025. Our family was able to come this time and it worked out perfectly. The only thing missing this time was the recliner that was in the living room the first time. If a replacement recliner could be brought in that would be amazing. Thanks for your prompt attention to detail across the board. We feel confident booking through you."

"Home is well appointed. Nice upgrades throughout. Beds were very comfortable and the unit is quiet. All the beach toys you need. Kitchen is large and the outdoor grills were nice. The grounds keepers clean grills daily. Along with raking the beach sand and cleaning the pools. The complex has security gates all around. The salt water pool is the highlight of the complex. Late evening float and swim with the waves crashing about 20 yards away. The sunsets are superb. Early morning coffee watching the outrigger paddlers go by. Easy drive to downtown Kona but a bit of a walk. Central location to the West end of Hawaii. Bring your own sugar and coffee. Most of the cooking spices are there but some were out in the spice rack. Water pressure not the best and hot water in the unit was more warm. Easy to overlook the little things because I love this complex. Made new friends every night for sunset appreciation hour. Parking is 1st come but usually I could get close to our unit. Loved having a bottom condo. Just a short walk to the pools and common area. Garden views were amazing. We were house hunting to relocate to the Big Island. Short drive to some of the best snorkeling in all of Hawaii. Mahalo for an amazing stay."

"Need to have a sense of adventure and want to become one with the geckos in the house and the wild pigs in the neighborhood with loud frog serenades at night. The streets are VERY steep, so if elderly or have limitations might want to rethink this area. The sunsets on the lanai are the best! There's a "screened in" lanai, and our girls slept out there most of the time. If you are a princess and a neat nick like me, you might want to stay in a nice, sealed condo in town. Snorkeling and swimming at bottom of the hill and another beach very near."

"We had such a great time at the condo. We enjoyed each evening with the other residents and guests of the condo. The waves the last couple of days were massive, to the point of coming over the wall and overflowing the saltwater pool (very beautiful). The unit was very clean, the staff was great and we had everything we needed. We really had a fantastic & memorable experience there! My only suggestion would be to replace the cushions on the roll away beds. They are very thin so we used both cushions on a single bed. Otherwise.... just perfect!"

"We arrived 30 minutes early, but we were able to enter anyway. The condo was everything we expected and more. We were very pleased with the large and fully equipped kitchen. The bath towels were plush and plentiful. The bathrooms and kitchen have all been tastefully remodeled. We especially enjoyed the central air conditioning during our stay. The overall decor is nice, the walk out ground level lanai has the closest vicinity to the pool, lounging area and BBQ's in the entire property. You should put this condo at the top of your list for this reason alone. An added bonus is the resident who provided a nightly sunset Conch ritual at the waters edge. We would definitely rent this unit again in the future."

"This place gives me the exact hawaii vacation experience I am hoping to have: Waking up to the ocean wave, jumping into the salt water pool for a swim, relaxing on the beach to drink coffee and read, then venture out to wherever you want. Kids are extremely happy and safe playing around, enjoying the sand and watching sunrise/set. Having bbq dinner with friends at the communal gathering garden after a day out hiking in the rain forest or exploring the downtown kona. I would definitely book for longer time next time! It is great value for such a great place."

The stay was absolutely wonderful and this was by far my best vacation rental experience. Amazing location and only few minute drive to Alii drive and other famous beach and parks. It has a full kitchens and is incredibly well-stocked with just about everything you could need for cooking. Beds are very comfortable with super clean linens. There is a patio you can sit outside, and the ocean is literally out the door. Property management office for my reservation was very responsible and they were reachable every time when I called them. The whole resort is also well maintained and every morning I see staff members wipe the chairs and clean the sand area to get ready for the day. I cannot recommend their place enough!"

"We had everything we needed for cooking at home including a rice cooker and blender! The condo is clean and comfortable. There's plenty of room to set up a cot or two in the living/dining area if you need more than the two bedrooms. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. Both pools are nice... kind of small but still nice. The full time residents are friendly so long as you are respectful of their home. They gather in the courtyard for a conch shell blowing sunset ritual every evening. It is quite charming but be advised that things get quiet very shortly thereafter so if you're looking for a party, this wouldn't be the place. I will definitely stay here again. I loved it!"

"We stayed at Casa De Emdeko 136. I want to preface this review by saying that I'm in the vacation rental business back on the mainland. The Kona Coast vacation rental team were fantastic. From the time I booked the property, and throughout our stay, every person I spoke to was knowledgeable and energetic. David, the concierge, was an added bonus and super helpful. I would highly recommend picking his brain during your stay. As far as the condo is concerned, it was everything we needed and a little more. Bonus items: Beach towels, cooler, life jacket and boogie boards. The location was central to about anything you would like to experience. It more then served its purpose for what we were here to do. My family and I came to Hawaii to see the beauty of what the island had to offer. I read reviews about bugs, sheets not being cotton, the decor of the property and condition of the home. This is a tropical paradise and there will be bugs. I'm sure all the properties are on some type of pest control program but you cannot expect a house to be 100% bug free. I'm sure the cleaning companies spend thousands of dollars a year replacing sheets and towels that were misused during guests stay. What people need to realize is these vacation rentals are being used by the general public and quite frankly some people just do not respect them. I know from my own experience in this industry, owners and property management companies do their best to provide a great experience for their guests. They usually are under a tight time line to turn these homes. Give them a break and try to understand who is causing the issues that may arise when staying in a property. I can promise you the owners and management company do not go into the homes before a guest arrival and sabotage appliances, disconnect internet, dink walls, scratch pans etc... I rented this property with the understanding that things can and do go wrong. It happens at my own house. I don't expect compensation, I don't expect someone to be at my beckon call. I do expect a safe environment, within the home, and I received that. I didn't come to Hawaii to do a home inspection or critique a owners decorating style. I want to thank the owners for opening up their beautiful home to my family. I want to thank Kona Coast Vacations for being as helpful as they were. I don't need my hand held, but if I had any questions, they were there to assist. We have made some lifelong memories and I'm very grateful. I don't have time in my life to be so negative and critical. Come to Hawaii to enjoy all it has to offer not to see what you can get back during your stay."

"Perfect Location: 20 minutes from Kona airport, 10 minutes from farmer market. The complex is very nice and well maintained. The unit 136 is just steps away from beach and the balcony just facing complex patio. I was told we can see dolphin in the morning. And my kids found couple soft shell crab's shells on the rocks. Comfort and Convenient Amenities: The condo is lovely. Super clean with comfortable beds. New mattress and refrigerator. Ice pack and cooler to pack your picnic lunch. Sand toys, bodyboard and life jacket for kids to enjoy beach. To my surprise, there is a rice cooker! Helpful property manager: Not only timely communicate the booking and check in/out instruction, but also provide concierge service. We arrived two hours earlier before check in time, they were very happy to offer luggage storage service. Once they found out the condo is done with cleaning, they let us check in earlier. Overall we were extremely happy! I would recommend it highly."

The condo is well maintained and the furnishing is very comfortable and easy to relax in. the lanai is terrific. Located where you get to great and chat with other residents/visitors. Any very easy to get to either pool. The only issue was nature caused; due to high surf the salt water pool was closed off and on during our stay. Not a huge issue since the regular pool is great. Made some new friends each day at the pool. This is our 7th or 8th visit to Cada de Emdeko. Can't say enough about the complex. "I was extremely happy with my stay here! Before our arrival we receive numerous very helpful emails confirming our reservation, with details for our arrival, and from the concierge with helpful tips as well as options to book activities in advance. I have to say the concierge service was an absolute game changer! David was even better than a hotel concierge and personalized our experience - helping us with every activity and question that we had! Having this service made it a no brainer that I would return. The condo itself is in a super ideal location - a short drive (or walk depending on time of day) from town. We found it very easy to get to the beaches, restaurants, bars, marina, etc. We also had parking outside the unit which made it easy to get in and out of the building. The unit itself was very clean and beach-but feeling! The two bedrooms each had large beds and nice, big TVs and fans. The TVs had roku hooked up so we could watch all our favorite shows and movies (honestly didn't check if there was cable but probably is!). The living room / dinning room / kitchen is an open floor plan which made it easy to host a lot of people and feel very home-y. The kitchen had all utensils we needed and everything was clean. We could open the door from the living room and we had a patio that we could use to walk out to the pool / sand / outdoor bar area. At night there are tiki torches that were lit and made it feel very Hawaiian when we shared a bottle of wine at the community tables. The pool itself is large and pretty too - right over the cliff of the ocean! Definitely would recommend and plan to stay there again. Thanks for the great trip!"

"Casa de Emdeko 136 was the perfect place to stay. First off, the location was PERFECT. So close to the exciting town of Kona. Very easy to stop by an ABC convenience store late at night if we needed something...close to big department stores so we could get our mass hauls..and a short walk to the best coffee spots, breakfast hangouts, restaurants for lunch/drinks/dinner. The condo itself was fully stocked with everything we needed from towels to laundry items even a cooler for us to take on our picnic at the Volcano National Park. There were TVs in the living room and both bedrooms with Netflix and other streaming services available - which made it nice for when we just wanted to relax in bed for a few hours between activities or when we wanted to get to bed early for a long day. Even small conveniences like a light switch next to the bed! That might have been one of my favorite features as who likes to get out of bed when you're comfortably settled? Love the backyard of the condo. There were torches lit at night, beach chairs for us, even a fun little bar open when we wanted to enjoy our own drinks privately. The views from our own backyard were incredible. Lastly, David with Kona Concierge felt like my personal vacation Siri. He offered great recommendations, helped book our activities and plan our daily itineraries...but he even answered every single random detail question I had, down to what should I order at this restaurant? Even while out and about if I got lost or had a real-time question, he was there and very welcoming We never met in person but I let like I left the island with a good friend and a vacation Siri for next time. Will definitely come here again and would recommend to all! Date of Stay: 8/12/17 to 8/18/17"

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental at Casa de Emdeko was just like the photos. Very big and clean with plenty of amenities. We cooked one meal in and had everything we needed. We used one one of the communal grills and found it very easy to go back and forth from the room since it was located right outside the room. The pool and beach were perfect for when we did not want to drive to find a beach. And not crowded at all. There are many shoreline access points nearby though. It is a little far to walk to the shops/restaurants in Kona but that was not a issue for us. We did have some AC issues during our stay. Management was responsive and even brought us some fans. We found cell phone service was non-existent inside, I assume because of the building construction type. It was easy to hook up to the internet and use that for phone calls (or go outside). Wi-fi was great throughout the apartment. I would recommend this place! Date of Review: Dec 21, 2016. Date of Stay: Dec 1, 2016."
