"We love Gulf Shores! I do have to say, it was the busiest we’ve ever seen it. Our condo had several issues. Missing batteries in remotes, light bulbs that need replacing, radio didn’t work, beds not comfortable. Actual wire out the side of a bed. Really time for owner to invest in new mattresses. Weather was as expected. Lovely!"

"One thing that caught my eye in the photo when selecting the condo. The recliner. It was a must since my husband has had two knee surgeries this year. First thing before unpacking, the recliner became stuck in the reclining position for the entire week. Also, there was a red stain on the sheet in the guest bedroom. Otherwise, it was a very nice condo. Lots of kitchen items, ice maker was awesome, lots of towels & bath cloths, the washer and dryer were very quiet. Fix the recliner, I will certainly rent again."

"Neither Vrbo, Poole and associates or royal palms has any representation of th actual size or layout of this or any other spaces at royal palms. Poole and associates scams customers that require a second vehicle out of Moore money and aren’t up front in this manner. The condo had space take up in master sink cabinet with several gallons of paint and boxes. The master ceiling fan globe was broken with several pieces hanging from the fan."

"We loved everything about this condo. The location itself is perfect, it's very close to restaurants and other activities, but it's also on the border of Gulf State Park, so the beach isn't as crowded. While the appliances were a bit dated, everything worked fine. There were plenty of towels for the 5 of us (a huge complaint I've had at other places), and there was even a towel swan left in the master bedroom to greet us. Very cute! We will definitely be back to this condo!"

"We enjoyed our stay. However, there were a few things that made it just an average vacation condo. The bedspread in the master bedroom was dirty and torn. So, we found a blanket to sleep under instead. Also, the orange paint was too much—easy fix. A new dishwasher was installed while we were there and then we realized that it wasn't draining properly. Then the morning we were leaving, there was no water. I know that things happen, but it all added up to an average stay."

Royal Palms 801 was a nice condo with a spectacular view with the wrap around balcony. The property and condo were both well kept and clean. We are checking our schedules to try and plan our next visit to Gulf Shores"

"Loved the view from balcony and master bedroom. Great space for our family of five. Functional and comfortable but could be updated a bit-especially master bath (shower) and master bed (very worn in). We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. Also, a keypad would have been much appreciated instead of physical keys-the keys stuck in the lock and required many attempts to open door, and it's just easier to have a code than carry a key to the beach."

"This is a very nice condo and we loved the complex itself. It has an indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub and all of them were kept very clean. You have short walk to the beach and most of it is over a nice boardwalk. The pier is within close walking distance which is also great! The condo was clean and in good condition. I only have a couple of suggestions for the owners 1 to get some nicer furniture for the balcony. Those cheap plastic chairs and table are uncomfortable and just don't look very appealing. We brought our own chairs to sit in as one of our favorite things to do is sit on the balcony and enjoy the view. Also the couch in the living room is awful. It's tiny, hard, and very uncomfortable. In my opinion if the living room/dining area were completely remodeled it would be much more appealing for people when they're looking at pictures and wanting to rent. In the evenings we like to sit in the living room and talk, but the furniture just was not comfortable at all. I only say these things for the owners benefit. I am not trying to downgrade this amazing condo. We enjoyed our stay very much. Other than that, its great! Kitchen is small, but nice and well stocked. The bedroom furniture was good and the bathrooms were nice. We also loved the bunk beds in the hallway, they worked perfectly for my nieces."

It was clean, bright and had the most comfortable furniture we have had. The building has a nice indoor hot tub and there is no traffic congestion since the building is the last building before the state park."

"The pictures were very accurate. The condo had everything we could want. It was a good size for my husband and me and our daughter, son-in-law, and two grandgirls. The view is unbeatable and the walk to the beach is very short. The deck is a nice size for six people. The one thing we didn't realize was that while the pool is indoors you have to go out of doors to get to it. Since it was quite cold the week we were there this wasn't ideal even though we did enjoy the pool. While we understand that carpeting and beaches don't go well together, if it is in the condo then it needs to be kept clean and the carpet in the bedroom definitely wasn't very clean even though everything else in the apartment was. We would definitely rent this condo again if we wanted a place for 2 - 6 people."

"Being just west of the state park gives this condo an unbelievable view. The walk out to the beach is very short. Six of us stayed there comfortably with the grangirls using the bunks in the hallway. There was everything we needed. The carpet in the bedroom could use a good cleaning, but everything else was very clean. We didn't realize you have to go outside to get to the indoor pool so make sure you take a warm cover up. We really enjoyed the pool. Would definitely rent again."

"Myself, two other guys, and two girls stayed in here for the Hangout Festival this past May. We had a fantastic time at the festival, and the condo was perfect for the 5 of us. It was great to be able to easily walk to the festival from the condo and not have to worry about parking or shuttles. The condo itself was great. At times we had 8 or 9 people there and there was plenty of room for people to sit and relax between the balcony and the living room. The condo is close to great restaurants, gift shops, grocery stores and lots of other local hotspots. We also didn't have trouble staying in and cooking as the condo has a full kitchen with all the dishes, pots, and pans one could need. Sleeping wasn't a problem as the queen and king sized beds were very comfortable, and the couch and bunks worked well for us too. The complex was not extremely crowded (compared to other condo complexes) and there was no obnoxious music or loud yelling and screaming late into the night. During the day we didn't have a problem finding a spot on the beach either. There was always an open spot and enough room for everyone to spread out unlike a lot of other complexes in the area. The water was the perfect temperature and was very clean too. The pier to the east provides fishing for anyone looking to fish, as well as good scenery at night as the pier is lit up. Everyone there was very friendly as well. Overall we had a great experience and we all want to come back in years to come. I would definitely recommend this condo!"

"Our family of three stayed for an extended weekend and we did not want to leave! We will definitely return next year (could be four of us by then!), and this time we won't have to spend any time deciding where to book. There's a whole lot to love about this condo. First of all - the view! It is immaculate. Just look at the pictures and the description in the listing. Nothing will do it justice, though, compared to soaking in that view in person. The condo itself was really nice. Clean upon arrival, everything in good working order, (which isn't always the case at vacation rental properties). Inside the condo you'll find a nice beachy mood without being overly beachy like so many are. It has a welcoming feel to it and a vacationy feel to it, without being corny or distracting. (I will obviously never be hired to write articles for interior design magazines...). Beds were comfortable - so comfortable in fact that when we returned home, we found ourselves feeling constricted in our queen-sized bed; the comfortable king-sized master bed at the condo spoiled us and now we will soon be looking to upsize our own. The beach is wonderful. In front of the condo you'll find a pretty typical gulf coast beach experience. But what separates this spot from the rest is that there are two contrasting neighboring beach worlds depending on which way you look. If you want a quiet romantic walk, you head left, down a sparsely populated beach towards the pier, there are no condos along the way. And then go further past the pier for even more privacy and it seems like you have the shoreline all to yourself. Or head to the right for a more lively and entertaining walk along a busier and more typical shoreline with a more populated beach as you pass in front of the never-ending line of condos. For dining out - you'll be in a great location, at the eastern edge of Gulf Shores, perfectly placed within easy reach of all the great restaurants in either Gulf Shores or Orange Beach - Take your pick! If you want to save money and eat in at the condo, the kitchen has everything needed to make that happen. We cooked two meals and my wife seemed at home in the kitchen. We were able to carry on our conversation while she worked near the sink, because it faces the living room area. We are used to practically yelling around the wall at home. Bottom line: I highly recommend this condo; I could not have asked for a better overall experience at such a good value."

"The location of the Royal Palms condos can't be beat. If you like strolling down a mostly deserted beach, you get it here. If you want to people watch while walking down the beach, you get it here too - just start your walk in the other direction. And if fishing is your thing, you get it here too, with a state fishing pier a short walking distance away. This condo is very well-maintained and clean and offers very comfortable accommodations. The place is stocked with ample dishes and a generous supply of linens and real pots (too often a rare find at beach condominiums). The pictures of the place are true to the look and feel of the condo and as a corner condo you have great panoramic views. The balcony is ideal for viewing the rolling tides or watching the activity on the beach. Writing this review makes me want to book another trip now - maybe I'll see you at the Royal Palms soon."

"My husband and I and son and friend stayed here over Easter and had a great time. Incredible views of 2.5 miles of undeveloped State Park dunes and also Lake Shelby. The condo has a 42" flat screen TV and is clean and comfortable. We really didn't need a thing. Loved the two pools, hot tub and the ability to be close to everything but have an uncrowded beach. Quiet to sleep and everything worked. I think we were the first to stay under the new ownership. The balcony view is one of the best we have seen in GS."
