"Perfect, everything about our trip was perfect. This is the second time we've stayed in this cabin. It's so quiet and secluded, but you still have a good view of the mountains. The drive-in can be a little scary, but we did learn the last time we stayed that you can drive all the way into Gatlinburg and get to the cabin very easily. it only takes a couple minutes longer to go that way and makes it much easier to get out and about. Just down the road is part of the artisan loop with some really nice stores and lots of handmade goodies. Honestly, the cabin could use an update no comfortable chairs to sit outside only rocking chairs and no comfortable place to sit in the house. Also, one bedroom has the fireplace in it and it really needs a screen or something for privacy because you can see right into the bedroom from the living room but other than that we loved everything about it and those things weren't a big deal to us.."

"Though the amenities were sparse (no soap, shampoo, anything in the bathrooms), you can pull right up to the front door here to unload bags or groceries with no stairs or anything! As we were unloading we noticed 3 bears hanging out...one was climbing a tree across the street! Vast views of the woods off the back porch. Had fun playing shuffleboard! All in all a basic but nice and clean place!"

"We loved this cabin and would recommend it to others. Make sure you have really good tires if you go during the winter. All rooms were great. Mattresses were comfortable. Great fire pit area. We enjoyed it. The reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars.....If you're older and travel with a pet, there's no easy place to tie them out. It's downhill all the way to the backyard. Had to take mine somewhere else. The hot tub wasn't maintained; lacked chemicals. The house needs a larger water heater. There were dust bunnys under the beds and couch, plus cobwebs in the corner. This is not the renter's fault, and I'm sure housekeeping is overwhelmed with the amount of properties that they have to clean. I would still go back to this cabin. Beautiful views from the back porch. I spent a lot of time there. About 20 minutes to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. Most of all, the peace and quiet was wonderful.

Red Door Response: Thank you for your review and feedback regarding your recent stay at the cabin. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the cabin's amenities and beautiful views, and we appreciate your feedback on areas that could be improved for future guests. We hope to welcome you back for another enjoyable stay.

"We had the most lovely time staying at the cabin. It was comfy and very clean. This was our first retirement trip and we were grateful for the lovely accommodations. Our only suggestion is to have proper prepping knives for fruits, veggies and meals. Sincerely, Lisa and John.

Red Door Response: Thank you for your kind review! We're glad you enjoyed your stay at our cabin. Based on your feedback, we've updated the kitchen knives. We appreciate your suggestion and hope to welcome you back in the future!

"We love your cabin, we stayed 10/12 - 10/15. It was the perfect size and we were very comfortable and felt safe. We were also very glad that the cabin was on a paved road. Owner was doing some contract work, but nothing to disrupt our stay. 2 masters and BR was a plus! My grandson slept on the sleeper sofa and he said it was great! We took advantage of the double sided FP on the cool mornings. Jacuzzi was very clean and worked beautifully. One thing I would like to mention is that this cabin was so very clean, we felt very welcomed because of it, hats off to your cleaning service! We will book again because of our experience and access to all our favorite stuff. Thank you so much for having us! Chris, Ginger, Haily, Brad, and Avery. One thing I would like to see changed is there is no good place for pets to go to the bathroom. There is plenty of woods that maybe you could clean up and make a doggy area..just a suggestion! But it would be a perk for sure as I know that not a lot of cabins have designated areas for pets. Could start a trend!"

"I’m giving the overall rating a 5, because it was a wonderful CLEAN cabin! I do want to share some things that we do wish the cabin had available, and share some just over all information for others. We really chose this cabin because it was pet friendly. I was unable to crate my dog when we left the cabin, due to him being a rescue pup where he was crated for long periods of time and I have never been successful in putting him in crates. Instead we just put him in the bathroom with his dog bed where he was just fine. Maybe for future guests who might have the same issues with their dogs the cabin should have a baby gate accessible. Tthat way instead of closing the bathroom door you can place the gate in the doorway so they won’t be so closed out. We understood the rules of keeping the animals off the furniture. Also on topic of bringing your dog is that there really is nowhere for them to go to the bathroom outside. The road and driveway to the cabin is pretty narrow so walking the dog and trying to get him to go to the bathroom was a challenge. We did find just a few miles down the road there was a brand new dog park which was amazing. Even if you don’t have those problems I suggest you take your dogs there it is a great dog park. I believe the name is Mill Run park. We wanted to make sure that we didn’t eat out too much at our stay and the kitchen is an amazing place to cook dinner. But the grill was on the corner of the road at the end of the driveway and made difficult at night to grill because it was not very lit up. I had to Park my car to face the grill and turn the lights on so that I could see. Maybe if possible put some lights by the grill or move the grill to a different location. We did find a fireplace around the left side of the cabin. But there were no chairs. It was a really cool fireplace I would advertise it more. The coffee pot was a little confusing there was a Keurig/coffee pot but the coffee pot did not work and there was a separate coffee maker. We did call the number that was given and figured it out, maybe just get a new coffee pot. Or make sure the guest know to not use the coffee pot on the kurig. These are all small things compared to the wonderful time we had. The location is wonderful it is very private. The cabin is beautiful. We will be coming back. Thank you so much moonlight obsession"

"The Moonlight Obsession cabin was the perfect place for my family and two pups to spend a vacation! The cabin's two-bedroom layout with kitchen and family area was ideal for us! The hot tub on rear balcony was a great addition after workouts at the 321 Fit Club gym in Gatlinburg. The cabin's location just outside of downtown Gatlinburg makes for short to medium length drives to take in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville for activities, shops, and restaurants! Also, the location is close to the trails and not too far from the National Park...namely Clingman's Dome and Cades Cove locations! We would not hesitate to come back again and stay at Moonlight Obsession! Thank you for a great vacation experience!"

"This cabin was a perfect holiday getaway place for my wife and myself on Christmas week. Very clean and spacious. Only had one problem, trying to decide which bedroom to use. We decided on room with the fireplace, but in the morning the sun shines on tv making hard to see. Around 10 am tv is viewable in that room. Not a big problem because there is a big tv in living room with fireplace. Love that I can park in front of the porch or on the side of the porch. Fully furnished kitchen with Keureg coffee maker with duel pod and carafe functions. Microwave oven, stove, dishwasher and small washer/dryer in guest bathroom. I would definitely caution driving a SUV or 4x4 pickup. Very curving roads and very steep mountains. Very secluded and not too close to others. If you have a barking dog, it won't bother neighbors. You can walk down the street and walk your pet. Only thing I would like to change is if the power goes out, there should be some way to get the fireplace working. Unless I was doing something wrong, when the power went out during a bad storm, I could not get fireplace to work. Halie checked in on us daily by text and called when I checked in and couldn't turn of alarm. I was very fortunate to reserve this cabin for Christmas week and will definitely recommend to others."
