** NOTE: The fences around the property all have no trespassing signs that can seem intimidating. This is common in Colorado and the neighbor is very worried about people going on his property. Please do not cross any of these fence lines onto the neighbor's property.

Walking in the front door under the covered deck opens to the main living area with large leather furniture with a flat screen television for relaxing at night. This room flows into the dining area with an extendable table to have your scrumptious meals. There is a large, well-stocked kitchen, with plentiful cupboards and counter space to create those meals in this open floor plan. Grilling outside is also an option, off the dining area, on the back deck. This great room area has a cozy wood stove that warms the whole home.
With two master bedroom suites it makes this home special for guests. The first-floor master has a comfortable queen bed, en-suite bathroom and an oversize jetted tub. Up the stairs to the second-floor suite is another queen bed and oversized jetted tub, with two sinks and plenty of towels. On the other side of the upstairs suite is a large living area, futon, and flat screen TV, along with an office space area, in case you are doing a staycation. The third bedroom on the first floor also has a queen bed with a bathroom right across the hall.

Features of this home include a private hot tub off the back deck nestled in the aspens. Enjoy the quiet area when you return to the Heart of the Aspens after a day of outdoor activities. A private morning soak in the hot tub, enjoying your coffee, is also an option. A large fenced in yard is available if your pup travels with you. There is a 3 season area on the front porch with a comfortable lounging couch, bistro table and chairs to have your late night beverage, or a quick lunch and still be protected from the weather.

If your summer activities include hiking, biking, fishing, or sightseeing, Fairplay is the place for you! With numerous options for your outdoor activity wishes, you'll enjoy the beautiful mountains and scenery. A close drive to Buena Vista, Salida and Breckenridge allows for additional activities. For your winter activities, there are multiple ski resorts within an hour drive, with Breckenridge being just 23 miles away.

History buffs will enjoy South Park City, a 19th century mining boom town. The museum accurately represents a mining town between 1860 and 1900, including 44 authentic buildings. "Second Home Rentals was amazing to work with. They were attentive, described the property well, and made this an easy stay. We rented for an entire month, and they helped coordinate new linens, trash, etc. We had family, friends, and an infant. The property was expansive and a great place to explore. 10/10!"

"Love the fact that there were 2 master suites each having a whirlpool tub. The hot tub was easy access from the deck. Beautiful Aspen forest in the back. It is a quiet area but the one neighbor with his fenced-in area with no trespassing signs posted,,,we did see him and his dog walking his fence line with a rifle when we first drove to the house but that was the only time."

"The house has everything one needs for a great vacation. Only small issue was the grass around hot tub needed to be mowed to cut down on mosquitos. Otherwise a fantastic stay and we will certainly recommend to friends."

"We had a wonderful vacation. The house is newly renovated in a cute farmhouse style, and everything is provided for a comfortable stay. Everything was very clean, the kitchen is well-equipped, the beds are comfortable, and the hot tub is well-maintained. We loved the fenced-in yard for the dogs and the dog welcome basket. The house has great internet, two big-screen TVs, and books and games for entertainment. The location is ideal, just off the highway, but tucked back in a beautiful Aspen grove. It was plenty of space for a family of five and we enjoyed the big porch and beautiful lights around the hot tub. The communication with the property manager was very pleasant and professional. Detailed information about check-in, check-out, hot tub, and wood stove maintenance was provided in an informative book. We will be back for sure!"

"We had a wonderful experience staying on this property. The house was cute, clean and just as they described! There was plenty of space for the 5 adults to stay! We loved the privacy of this house, as it was nestled behind trees and not visible from the road. I loved the fenced back yard for my dogs— a very pet friendly house for sure! The communication from the property manager was great! From the initial booking, to the questions I had prior to arriving, to the information at checkout, they made it all easy! We will definitely be staying here again!"

"As two young families, we choose this property based on location. The location was ideal for our needs. No major roads to worry about the kids, wide open outdoors. HOWEVER, upon our arrival, we were greeted by the neighbors fence line where there were signs threatening lethal force and beware of dog, tents set up, surveillance warnings, and skeletons hanging in the trees. Each morning before 7: 30, the neighbor would walk the fence line with his rifle and unleashed German shepherd. After his walk, he began trimming trees with his chainsaw. This would go on for most of the morning without pause. Additionally, the home is infested with mice. Our counteracts had fresh droppings each morning and many of our groceries were ruined by mice. This was less than the serene mountain vacation we were looking for. The price was appealing, the pictures sold it, the actual stay still gives me nightmares."

"We loved our stay in this secluded home! We are from Missouri where it is hot and humid…. once we realized there was no A/C, we were able to leave a couple windows open to keep the house cool. We were 30-45 mins away from Breck, Buena Vista…and really any activity we wanted to do. The house has a mice issue, but we know that can happen. The communication was responsive and quick. Overall we thought the house was very nice."

"I really enjoyed my stay for the first week and am sure I will enjoy my stay for the 2nd week. Some things I would like to note which doesn't impact anything about my stay, but just want to note so a future guest less carefree than me doesn't give you a negative review. 1 - Guests should be aware that there may be rodents in the house. I wasn't aware and left a bag of chips and a loaf of bread on the counter and realized the next day something had gotten into both of them. 2 - The toilet handle in the master bathroom sticks and if you don't think about it the toilet will run continuously unless you unstick it. 3 - The "backyard" surrounding the hot tub should have the grass kept low since the yard is fenced and a guest could allow their dog to roam around there. As it is, the grass/brush is taller than my dogs and I have large dogs. 5 - The hot tub temperature control button isn't very friendly. If you press either the up or down it could go either up or down. So if I press up the temperature could go down. So it's very finnicky."
