Description

Northern Exposure at The Lodges at Eagles Nest. Resting on over ½ an acre at 4,100+ feet of elevation overlooking The Sportsman's Lodge amenity center, this delightfully refined home offers 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths in just over 1,500 square feet of heated space, with an additional 500+ feet of outdoor deck space for taking in the cool summertime air and the spectacular views looking out over the Farm pastures and out to picturesque rolling Blue Ridge Mountains as far as the eye can see. Northern Exposure features an open great room that flows seamlessly into the fully stocked kitchen and dining area, and then out to a covered outdoor sitting area on the large main level deck. Wide panel, distressed hardwood floors throughout the main living area are paired with the stacked Tennessee fieldstone of the floor-to-ceiling gas fireplace, all framed by a tongue and groove Heart of Pine cathedral ceiling. Exquisite granite counters, top of the line stainless steel appliances and bar seating make for an impressive yet very comfortable kitchen, perfect for entertaining family and friends.

The main level of Northern Exposure offers a full guest suite, as well as laundry. Upstairs you'll find a large loft looking out to the phenomenal mountain views and step through the authentic barn-style doors to the master suite with attached office area, perfect for working remotely. The master bath features beautifully textured counter surfaces and an exquisitely tiled shower. The loft offers Foosball and Ping Pong for night time and rainy day games. The property is also just steps away from the exciting amenities of The Sportsman's Lodge, featuring a basketball court, boulder-lined soccer field and open pavilion area.

The Lodges at Eagles Nest is a world-class 3,000+ acre master-planned development with altitudes over 5,200 feet framed by spectacular 360-degree mountain views as far as the eye can see. The natural features of the property include acres upon acres of undeveloped green space and pastures, rushing streams, waterfalls, massive boulder formations, abundant wildlife and much more.

Northern Exposure at The Lodges at Eagles Nest is located just minutes from the charming town of Banner Elk. Featuring a wide variety of noted gourmet restaurants and excellent specialty and upscale boutiques, Banner Elk is a destination all its own. Here each season brings with it something spectacular, from our cool air and outdoor activities in the summer, to our incredible fall foliage, to great skiing during the winter. Banner Elk is also home to Lees-McRae College and its wonderful summer theater program, as well as numerous athletic events for spectators throughout the year.

In addition, the nearby towns of Blowing Rock, Valle Crucis and Boone, home to Appalachian State University, add to the unique flavor and sophisticated country charm of the area. Call today to secure this property for your next Blue Ridge Mountain vacation!

"Back in 2020 we spent xmas and new years in Banner Elk. We had to go back this 2023/24. We stayed in the same community, Eagles Nest, we visited local restaurants, coffee shops and did some shopping. It never ceased to impress. It snowed, the weather was xmas card perfect. The cabin was clean, organized and perfect. We will come back soon, we are in love with this place."

"I enjoyed the amazing mountain view and serenity of Northern Exposure. The house was clean, nicely decorated and it was a great place to escape to for a few days. I woke up to a family of deer in the front yard and loved my morning coffee on the lovely back porch which has a beautiful view of the mountains. Great location and lovely hosts!"

"My husband and I loved our stay in this cabin! The sofa and beds were comfy, the appliances and bathrooms were outstanding, and the view off the porch was lovely. A short walk from the cabin is a sportsman's lodge and a dog park, which our two dogs happily explored. Also near the cabin is a winery and an ATV rental place. Within 20 minutes, there's lots to do -- downtown Banner Elk has restaurants and shops to visit, ziplining and tubing outfitters, and Elk River Falls is a short hike (10 minutes) with a gorgeous waterfall at the end. Definitely a great cabin in a perfect location!"

"My husband and I loved our stay in this cabin! The sofa and beds were comfy, appliances and bathrooms were outstanding, and the view was lovely. Across the street is a sportsmans lodge and a dog park, which our two dogs happily explored. Also very close to the cabin is a winery and an ATV rental place. It takes maybe 10 minutes to get to the cabin from the main gate, but the views along the way are spectacular and the property is beautiful. It doesn't take long to get to downtown Banner Elk, and there are lots of fun things to do within 20 mintues of the cabin (a short hike at Elk River Falls, ziplining, tubing, etc). The property managers were also very helpful and responsive to our needs. I'd recommend this to anyone!"

"Cottage was extremely nice and the views were beautiful Lots of wildlife including a visit from a black bear that was very exciting and made for great videoing. The only negative is that it is 7 miles (20min.) up the mountain from entrance gate with no advance knowledge of this distance until day of check in TM SWR Fl."

"The home was very nice for a family of 4, 2 adults, twin boys 7. The ping pong table was a hit! The view was beautiful! So serene to sit outside on the porch with coffee in the mornings! Lovely, quiet neighborhood. It’s a little hike from the main entrance, about 20 mins, but a very pretty drive. Well stocked starters…paper towels, soap, trash bags, etc. While the kitchen, and bathrooms were clean, and the place smells like brand new construction, the floors and family room couch definitely were not up to our cleanliness standards. Note: We did not bring pets, but this property does allow for them, and it shows. The floors were filmy, and after about 20 mins in the house the bottoms of our bare feet were brown from the floors. Upstairs and down floors were filthy. Pulled up the bath mats in both bathrooms and dirt fell out all over. Had to wash them. Washer and Dryer definitely a plus! Also, the main family room couch is upholstered fabric and has a pet smell to it, fur and dander very apparent. I also have to agree with previous review about the beds. The master bed we tried with the foam topper the first night, and was so uncomfortable. 2nd night on we slept without topper, and mattress pad did not fit well over mattress that is plastic wrapped and slipped around and was uncomfortable. Overall, the property’s view and community amenities were fantastic. We truly enjoyed our stay."
