Two levels of expansive porches provide a 180-degree mountain panorama at Mile High Lodge. Take in views from the private hot tub, or enjoy the outdoor fire pit, with plenty of seating for a family marshmallow roast. Rocking chairs, a swing for the young at heart, an outdoor dining space, and a gas grill complete the decks.

Inside, rustic elegance meets modern convenience! A wall of windows keeps the stunning view as the living room's focal point. There is also a beautiful, wood-burning stone fireplace and a large flat-screen Smart TV to enjoy in the comfy leather seating.

The spacious kitchen has updated stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, a gas stovetop, and a large island with seating. There is dining in the kitchen for ten (10), and eight (8) can be seated in the formal dining room.

The master bedroom on the main level has a king-size bed and private access to the back deck, a flat-screen Smart TV, and an ensuite bathroom. This bathroom has a jetted bathtub, dual vanities, and a walk-in, tiled shower. Also on the main level is a shared full bathroom with a tiled, walk-in shower.

Upstairs, two bedrooms with king-size beds share a full bathroom with a combination tub and shower. One of these bedrooms has mountain views, and the other has a large Smart TV. The final room on the upper level is a twin room with an additional twin trundle and twin sleeper sofa, accommodating three (3) total. This room leads into a secret children's nook filled with games, toys, and a TV with rocking seats.

Equipped with every entertainment need, the lower level of Mile High Lodge has a pool table, foosball table, and electronic darts. Three (3) large Smart TVs and an arcade table connect to a BlueTooth LED speaker system. A wet bar and bar seating look out to the incredible mountain view. The theater room has a projector and Surround Sound for a quality viewing experience, along with an X-Box.

Another king-bed suite on this floor has a flat-screen Smart TV, private access to the lower level covered porch, an ensuite bathroom with a jetted tub, a walk-in tiled shower, and two separate vanities. The second bedroom on the lower level is a twin-over-double bunk room with a pull-out twin sofa and a trundle, accommodating five (5) total. This room also has a Smart TV, games, toys, and Dance Dance Revolution. Attached is a full bathroom with a tub and shower combo.

There is parking for up to five (5) vehicles, and the entrance to the home does not have any stairs. Pets are welcome to join in the family fun.
Allows pets with an additional fee paid after booking. The fee is $35 per pet per day.

"Ths house was amazing! The views of the mountains were beautiful, and deer came to visit in the yard, daily. Although we had planned for our family of 16 to attend, only 13 of us actually came so there was plenty of room for us to spread out. There were also lots of games and activities for us to do in the house on the one day that the weather was bad. It only took us 5 minutes to walk to the slopes from the house which made it even better. We were able to come home for lunch or to give the kids a break for a while before returning. We were surprised to find a crib, highchair, and other baby items, which came in handy. On the downside, someone had jammed something into the gas lighting keyhole of the fireplace on the main floor, so it took us a while to fix that, but we did. Another problem was with cleaning. Some of the bathtub jets had black (mold?) around them, yuck! It would have been helpful to have some 409 or other disinfectant cleaner to clean up with. We would have been able to do a better job of cleaning up before and after ourselves. And lastly, the can opener and potato peeler need to be replaced. The can opener only opens cans partially, and the potato peeler is quite dull. All that being said, we had an amazing stay and a wonderful time of family bonding in this gorgeous house with an outstanding view and location."

"The view from the cabin is incredible! It's within walking distance to some nice hiking trails on Emerald Outback. About 7 minutes to popular restaurants on Beech Mountain and 15 minutes to downtown Banner Elk. The house was enjoyable to hang out, play games, and watch movies. It was the perfect layout for our group and my children enjoyed the playing nook in the upstairs bedroom and deck swing. The house could use a little maintenance. We joked that everything squeaked and the bathroom/kitchen just felt a little dirty and outdated. Some of the basic kitchen supplies (like an oven mitt) were missing and there was only enough forks for one meal for our group. But the inconveniences were minor compared to the stay as a whole. The property management company is great to worry with and very prompt to respond to any concerns. We enjoyed all the wild life and the ground hog that evidently lived on the property."

"Lovely home with awesome views of both the mountains and the town! We had ages 6 to 60 and we so enjoyed the amenities and the convenient location! We would definitely stay again. The only suggestion is to check the oven. It did not seem to seal properly and did not cook evenly (convection oven)."

"The only thing that needs addressed is it needs an electric can opener, hand mixer, and hair dryer. If they can put a Keriug out they definitely can afford the items above. It was a beautiful home and we cooked the whole time we were there three meals a day for 14 people. The items above would have helped when we was mashing potatoes and opening can goods for 14 people. It makes it hard on people with tennis elbow to do it by hand. And warning for it's actually 30mins up the mountain to get to the house. But the view was well worth it and so happy the walking trails was within walking distance from house. Thank you for sharing your home."

"House is perfect for big groups, has easy access to emerald trails if you enjoy biking or hiking. The house was 5-7 minutes from town of beech mountain and located on a section with lots of wildlife. We have stayed on Beech mountain dozens of times and this was one of my favorite homes. The only thing that keeps it from being five stars is little details like most board games missing critical pieces, pool cues missing tips, dart tails needed replacing just stuff like that overall a great experience and hope to return next year."

"The house was ideal for large families and our dog. Entertainment items were enjoyed by our grandchildren (and adults) as Pac-man game, Pool table, Hot tub and movie room were big hits. Views was spectacular. Many trails were close by. Higher altitude, 5,400 feet gave us cool temperatures. We had a problem with lack of garbage pickup and left all in garage."

"We spent our Thanksgiving weekend on Mile High Lodge with our family. Everything in the cabin is as per the pictures on the website. We had a great time. The cabin has lots of different activities to do inside and outside of the house. You also have walking and mountain biking trails waking distance (2-3 minutes). The only thing I would suggest the company is to be more careful with the kitchen clean. It wasn't super dirty, but we had bread crumbs on the toaster/counter top and used coffee cups on the coffee machine. Besides this, towels, sheets and bathrooms were clean. About 20 minutes from the cabin, you have good restaurants, ski resort and small town boutique stores you can visit. It was a good relaxing time for our family."
