Description

Welcome to Carolina Elk Lodge!

This gorgeous cabin sits atop Beech Mountain, down a private road with no through-traffic for privacy. The main level features a spacious great room with woodburning fireplace and deck access along the wall of windows that surround the woodburning stone fireplace. Massive log beams support the great room and loft. The dining table seats up to 12, and there are three chairs at the granite counter opening to the kitchen. The cupboards are well-stocked for your cooking needs with cookware, appliances, and both Keurig and standard coffeemakers.

On the main level there are two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. To the south side is the queen suite with four post bed, a tiled shower, jetted tub, and double granite vanities. On the north side is a second queen bedroom. In the hall is access to a full bathroom shared with other guests with a clawfoot tub. The loft has a third queen bed and its own minisplit for comfort.

Head downstairs to the second family room. You'll find a gas log fireplace and sofa, a table set for board games, and patio access. The third and fourth bedrooms are here with a third full bath to share. One room has a queen bed, and the other a custom built room with two sets of twin over twin bunks.

Outside, enjoy plenty of deck space with seating. For cooking, the home has both a Blackstone and a charcoal grill (BYO charcoal). Off the main level back deck is a path to the fire pit. Enjoy an evening under the stars with your family while you roast s'mores

Beech Mountain has a lot to do and there's always something happening in the area! Some notable events would include:
-Land of OZ's Journey with Dorothy
-The long running Woolly Warm Festival
-Concerts every Sat. in the summer on the decks at 5506' Skybar as well as Mile High Yoga (a great way to start your day! Can also walk to chairlifts!)
-June is Family Fun month with different events each weekend.
-At nearby Grandfather Mountain you'll find the famous mile high swinging bridge & in the summer Grandfather Mountain Highland Games.
-Wineries are always fun, and two close options would be the Banner Elk Winery or Grandfather Mountain Winery. (Both being family friendly)
-Beech Mountain Resort hosts mountain bike trails, lessons, disk golf & summer concerts in the summer. In the winter you can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, the Beech Mountain Brewery, coffee shops, great restaurants, tubing, sledding as well as the Burton learn to ride center. (Easy walk to the Resort)

Additional Notes:
- CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
- Please note that there are 3 exterior cameras for the driveway. No cameras point at the home or on any of the common areas and the cameras are not actively monitored during guest visits. #1 is on the front deck facing the front door. #2 is on the back deck overlooking the view and back porch. #3 is on the back deck facing the porch and a big bird/squirrel feeder.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two.

- This is not a pet friendly home. Thank you for not bringing pets into this home.
- Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a Firestarter for $25 plus tax per night.
- Towels and linens will be provided for you.
- Check In after 4pm. Check Out by 10am.
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.

"The house is so beautiful and comfortable! The drive is definitely an adventure. We were a group of 8 and all the beds were very comfortable, the house was clean and spacious for everyone. The driveway can be a little tricky, but once you get use to it, isn't anything to worry about. The house had everything you may need right in the middle of nature. We saw deers and bears going by the house. Loved our stay!"

"We absolutely loved our stay here! Such a gorgeous home with all the things you may possibly need. They even had s'more ingredients in the pantry which i particularly loved because we forgot to stop by the store to get some and the store is a bit far from the house so we were so glad that they thought of that. Pantry is full of anything you may possibly need and so many dishes, pans and utensils to choose from that were in great condition which is something we appreciated a lot (other places we've usually stayed at had very low selection and weren't in the best shape). But let me also talk about this view. Omg, the view! I stayed in the bed over the living room and waking up to that gorgeous view was just something else entirely. Can't put it into words! There are so many other things i want to mention that i loved but this would turn into a 10 page essay lol. Everything about this house is just 10s across the board, you will NOT regret booking here, i promise you."

"The beauty, the views, the solitude and relaxation, watching the wildlife from the deck... including the mama bear, her 2 cubs and papa bear. Enjoyed Stonehill Steak House and Bella's Italian was delicious. The rainy weather kept us from doing some activities, but the R&R was so needed!"

The s'more welcome basket was a perfect welcome gift. We loved Lake Watauga for fishing and renting pontoon boats. The recreational center in town for small lake, free canoe and fishing rods. Enjoyed our stay!"
