Description

Mountain Aire' Getaway is an absolutely gorgeous custom vacation located atop a mountain just 20 miles South of Breckenridge. This luxurious home has 4 full size private bedrooms and a bath on every level. The location is private and secluded but in a developed area. The views from the home are of white-capped mountains and forests. They are breath-taking. This is not an ordinary mountain home. It speaks to luxury in every room and detail. The windows on the main level are floor-to-ceiling withe high vaulted tongue and groove beamed ceilings. The great room has gorgeous wood flooring and the other room have either tile or luxurious carpeting. The mountain decor is beautiful and finished with the upmost taste. The outdoors is just as luxurious as the indoors. There is a therapeutic hot tub with views of the white-capped mountains. There is even a horse shoe pit on site for your family or group to play. You will have many wonderful memories after your stay at Mountain Aire'.

The main level has a beautiful large kitchen that is fully stocked with everything you will need for your stay. The granite counter tops and custom cabinetry are gorgeous. The kitchen has stainless appliances including a refrigerator, a stove, a microwave, a dishwasher, and a garbage disposal. It is stocked with dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, glasses, cookware, and everything you will need for your group's chef to cook your meals. It will be a true pleasure for them to cook in this kitchen with beautiful views. It is open to the great room so that your chef can chat with the rest of the group while cooking. There is a dining room off of the kitchen with a large table that seats 6 with additional seating at the kitchen counter for 4. The dining room is surrounded by windows with great views and there is access to the deck from the dining room as well.

The "Great Room" is spectacular. There are floor-to-ceiling windows that show off the amazing views of the surrounding property. The ceilings are high and vaulted with tongue and groove pine and large beams. The flooring is a beautiful hardwood. There is a flat-screen TV above the fireplace with satellite programming so you will be able to watch your favorite TV shows or sporting events. Unfortunately, the fireplace does NOT currently work, and is being assessed for repairs. There is cute mountain decor in this room as well as throughout the home that includes, skis, snow-shoes, and sleds. The entire home is beautifully and tastefully decorated and has luxurious amenities.

The master suite is located upstairs. It is completely private and is not open to the downstairs. The master has a luxurious king size bed and custom log furnishings. There is a TV which is a large flat screen TV to watch your favorite shows from the comfort of your bed or from the private sitting area in the bedroom which has a sofa, easy chair and coffee table. The suite has a private deck where you can enjoy your morning coffee or a starry summer night. It is a great place to catch a glimpse of some of the wild life in the area like deer or bears. The master bath is equally luxurious with huge over-sized jetted tub where you can relax after a day of shopping, skiing, or hiking. There is also a very large walk-in tiled steam shower. The tile work in the shower is gorgeous. It is a hard choice to decide between this wonderful steam shower and the jetted tub. Enjoy!

The main level has a beautiful bedroom with a king size bed and a private bathroom. The furnishing are luxurious and there is even a private sliding door leading out to the deck so that you can enjoy the views and wildlife too. The bath has a walk-in shower and a beautiful granite vanity.

Downstairs there are two additional bedrooms. Both of these bedrooms have queen size beds with equally nice furnishings. There is a bath downstairs with another walk-in shower. The game room downstairs has a comfy sofa and a TV. There are lots of puzzles and games and video games for the entire family or group. There is also a game table where you can play cards, games, or work puzzles. Everyone will enjoy this room!

Outside on the beautiful deck there is a new hot therapeutic hot tub with amazing views of the white-capped mountains and forest. There is outdoor seating as well as a gas grill that runs on natural gas so you will not have the hassle of changing out propane bottles. The views are gorgeous in every direction. You will create many happy memories here! There is also a nice horseshoe pit for your group to enjoy.

You will love this area as it is not congested with traffic like Breckenridge. It is close enough to enjoy the restaurants, shopping, and skiing but far enough away to not have the traffic, congestion and noise that you would have if staying closer. Fairplay and Alma are also unique towns with much to offer in the way of restaurants, bars, shopping, and festivals. Be sure to visit historic South Park City which is a restored 1800's mining town. It is awesome! Whatever you decide to do during your visit, the activities will only be minutes from the home as this is the best and most central location in Colorado. You can take a day trip to almost any of the famous location in Colorado such as Red Rocks, Colorado Springs, Canon City, Buena Vista, Black Hawk, Central City, Georgetown, and much more. All are within a 1 or 2 hour drive from the home and many just a few minutes. Just call us for suggestions on activities. We hope you truly enjoy your stay at Mountain Aire' Getaway!

"Mountain Aire' Getaway is a beautiful house with stunning views and everything you need for a mountain getaway. The house is about 15 mins from local shops and restaurants in alma. The hot tub was great and there is a game room in the basement to keep the whole family busy. Definitely need 4WD or AWD to access the house in the winter months. Overall we had a fantastic stay and enjoyed our getaway at the house. I highly recommend staying here!"

"Place overall was great, hosts were excellent and promptly answered the few questions I had. The few issues we had were with the quality of items in the home. The microwave has a chunk of plastic broken on the door and the dishwasher buttons are completely worn down so I had no idea what cycle I was running, the refrigerator is also in need of some TLC. I would also suggest leaving one of the cabinets empty so guests can store food. We also had some questionable hot water when people were showering, sometimes it was great but sometimes it was Luke warm at best. Would absolutely rent from the property managers again but probably not this house unless the appliances were updated."

"We booked Mountain Aire Getaway for a family Thanksgiving getaway and it far exceeded our expectations. The home was truly a mountain home and was absolutely beautiful. The management company was also incredible. They communicated with me throughout the entire trip plus sent us informative texts & emails before the trip that helped us alot. I would highly recommend this house if you are looking for a beautiful stay in the mountains."

"My husband and I went up for his Bday weekend and had the most amazing weekend. The communication with the property manager was seamless and highly responsive. After our first night and not being able to get the hot tub to heat up more than the temp of our body temperature, I sent a text and the hot tub was in perfect working order before we got back to the property after exploring the small town of Fairplay - and that was the only thing, all weekend, that we needed help with! Speaking of site seeing - the views are AMAZING from the house, but we ended up going to Breckenridge on our second day, which was a beautiful scenic 30 min drive - verses staying in or near the very iconic and busy ski town that Breckenridge is - so convenient! Alternatively, if your just needing to get away and have no desires to leave the property - that is all good too! There are Rocky Mountain Blue Birds and really brave Gray Jays - that will literally eat from your hand. The hot tub gives a great view to the stars - of which are 3x what you can see in the city, and the house is gorgeous! Is there wear and tear? Yes, but none of it was an inconvenience or highly noticeable and the property management does a great job at letting you know if something is out of order, well before you get there. If it is just you and loved one for a romantic get away or a large family - this is a great place. We hope to come back in the summer for a mountain get-away vacation with the entire family!"

"Location of the property is great although the road to it is fairly rough. Understandable considering the elevation. The views are by far the best thing. Inside we found several window cranks broken or missing, coffee pot produces warm coffee, not hot, can opener was broken and had to use knives to open cans, silverware could use updating, screens missing on some windows and some are foggy from broken seals. For the most part easy fixes except for window replacement. Never stayed at a home with minor things not taken care of. Five stars for the views, three stars for the above issues. Sorry to say."

"We really enjoyed the home. The views were amazing and we loved seeing the wildlife. Kitchen well stocked and had everything we needed. Only issue we had was the smell in basement. It seems that the guests prior to us let a pet urinate in the basement and the smell was so strong we couldn’t enjoy the basement space. We didn’t let this stop us as there is so much outdoor space to enjoy."

"Stayed for week to ski at Breck and Vail in February. Space was great. It snowed a few times while we were there and we were able to get around with 4WD and AWD. Driveway was plowed the one day it snowed a few inches but the walk way was not shoveled. We took the kids sleeping in the backyard which was fu and we even took our skis down the road. We loved the steam shower upstairs. Overall, we had a great time!"

"We loved the Moutain Aire Home. It was all it said it would be and more. The only negative we had was the outside door of the muck room got to where it would not shut. Other then that all wa good. If I was the owner I would check into replacing the fireplace with a gas insert. They may already have but that is the only draw back from the house which we knew up front."

"We loved this property! The scenery is beautiful and the area is very quiet. We rented this place for our family vacation and it didn’t disappoint! Being up on the mountain was amazing, we saw deer, birds and there are plenty of hiking trails within 20 mins or so. The drive up the mountain to the property wasn’t too bad, we did with our AWD suv and it did great. About 35 mins away from Breckenridge. Like others have said, the directv is very limited and the internet can be spotty at times but we mostly focused on being outdoor most of the day. The kitchen has everything you need, closet full of towels. The hot tub was definetly a big perk for us, we used it everyday! You can’t go wrong if you rent here, you won’t regret it. Property management was very responsive, within 30 mins we had an answer to our question. Thanks again for everything!"

"Guys trip to hike 14ers. Great house with great outdoor spaces to hang out and enjoy. A couple of things to be aware of, the channel selection on the DirectTV is a bit limited - if you are trying to catch a game it may be a bit challenging. The house itself is about 11,000 ft, so be aware if you have altitude issues it is higher than the town of Alma. Overall is a great house, VERY quite and away from everything, so perfect place to get away and hike."

"We enjoyed our stay here! There were a few hiccups, but the host/second home was very responsive and willing to resolve any issues that occurred. Be prepared for the drive up to the house - very bumpy and rocky. 4WD vehicles would be best, but 2 of the guests were able to get up in a sedan. Also, be sure to bring extra items like paper towels, toilet paper etc. The views were so beautiful and it was really peaceful! It's a short drive to Breckenridge and some fun hikes!"

"My first concern when renting is cleanliness, and this home was very clean! The home was beautiful, the view from every window & porch was perfect. It was so quiet and peaceful. The rooms all had comfortable beds, plenty of comfortable seating in the living room as well. The kitchen was well stocked. I hate when they advertise a home for 10, and then only provide 8 plates/forks, this home had a well stocked kitchen. If you’re looking for an escape to the mountains, I can’t recommend this home enough! Also, the hosts were great, they gave us peace and privacy, but also answered the couple questions we had during our stay, within 15 minutes. All around great experience with this home and staff. Thank you!"

"Our family of six dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Alma mountain-top home. Beds were comfy, and the perfect amount. A dog-lover dream house for sure. Hot tub was available with a little algae, didn’t stop the adults from using but my pre teens didn’t love the smell. Kitchen stocked, could use glassware and wine glasses. Hiking trails right outside the door. Really a hiking-family’s dream house! Loved the master bedroom sitting area and steam shower! Can’t wait to come back."

Hiking the road was bliss, the streams, the quiet, the birds, the wildflowers. The house was so comfortable and beautifully decorated. There were so many thoughtful items to make it easy with our dog, such as the cable. Even Travis loved laying on the porch. "We really enjoyed our stay at Mountain Aire' Getaway. It was a lovely cabin with beautiful views both East and West. Lots of space for our family to spread out and every amenity we needed. The bedrooms were large and spacious, very comfortable and we had plenty of options for activities. From video games, board games, movies, outdoor swing, horseshoes, hot tub a fire pit (although we were unable to use it as the manager told us there was a fire ban at the time), we were never bored. The kitchen was stocked with all the pots, pans and dishes we needed for the week. Plenty of extra towels and toilet paper as well. We cooked meals in the kitchen every day and enjoyed steak and hamburgers on the grill too! The grill was a little complicated to get started (it did not have an ignition button) and it took a while to warm up, but once it did it worked just fine. The only downside to the cabin is the drive in. The roads are extra bumpy...especially those off the County Road (which were being grated at the time). We are lucky we took our truck as my sedan would not have made it up the switchbacks and over the boulders in the road to the cabin. Other than that, the cabin is great! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, appreciated the privacy and the opportunity to have a true mountain experience with our family! Would highly recommend to others."
