The airport is very close to Downtown Pittsburgh, so it couldn't be easier to get to the college. What's more, from the magnificent Carnegie Museum of Natural History to the quirky Toonseum, there is plenty for culture enthusiasts to sink their teeth into. Additionally, the beautiful Pittsburgh skyline and range of large parks makes it an inspiring destination to visit.
From Pittsburgh International Airport it's just a 25-minute car journey along I-376 to the Downtown area and the campus. Washington, D.C. and Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio are all within a two- to four-hour drive from Pittsburgh. The Downtown area itself is fairly compact and features the main commercial areas in the city.
The Toonseum is unique and is a must for visitors young or old interested in animation. The Carnegie Museum of Natural History and Carnegie Museum of Art together make this one of America's finest cities for culture. Pop art lovers should also check out the Andy Warhol Museum - the artist was born in the city.
Pittsburgh has many beautiful parks. Oakland is a great destination for a quiet afternoon spent browsing the boutiques and checking out the chilled-out bar scene by night. Also nearby though is the wonderful Schenley Park, a favorite for joggers and sunbathers in summer. Highland Park in East End-North features acres of parkland with pretty lakes to wander around.
