Thomas Jefferson University is named after the writer of the Declaration of Independence and is near Independence Hall, where the document was signed and adopted. The Independence National Historic Park is a shrine dedicated to the freedom movement and houses the famous Liberty Bell.
The movie "Rocky" was filmed and takes place in Philadelphia. There is one famous scene where the boxer runs up the stairs of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and you can visit this location, run up the stairs like Rocky, and find the statue dedicated to the movie. The museum was founded in 1876 as part of the 100-year anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Inside, you can explore many exhibits featuring fashion, classical art, historic artifacts and more.
