The most convenient airport to Bryn Mawr is Philadelphia International Airport. It takes roughly half an hour to reach the campus from the airport and the distance is around 22 miles. From the airport, you can use the train, bus, shuttle or drive a rental car. By road, the college is accessible using the New Jersey Turnpike (I-95) and the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76).
If you love movies, visit the Bryn Mawr Film Institute which is a community-owned movie theater. It screens local, foreign and independent art films. The Harriton House, a restored historic house on Pennsylvania’s Main Line, is also an interesting attraction. It was the residence of Charles Thomson, the first Secretary to the Continental and Confederation Congresses.
Being a suburban location, Bryn Mawr has plenty of parks where you can walk, relax or bring your family. The 29 acre Ashbridge Park in Montgomery County offers walking paths, a playground, and tennis courts while the 10 acre Clem Macrone Park has running trails, basketball courts, and picnic facilities.
