Best Hikes in Chimney Rock State Park
There are nine trails in Chimney Rock State Park providing hikers with access to all the different sectors of the park. Some of these hikes can be very strenuous and require a full day on the trail but you will find a couple of easy hikes for those looking for an interesting stroll. If you plan to do one of the long hikes, consider staying at one of the Chimney Rock State Park Hotels for a relaxing evening.

This particular hike is guided but it is one of the most strenuous in the park. The hike is 4.5 miles in length but it is mostly steep steps and a near vertical climb. The hike will take up to 7 hours depending on the fitness of the group hiking. Take plenty of water and enjoy the scenery.

A moderate 1.5-mile hike that takes walkers to the base of Hickory Nut Falls. The views along the way are stunning and this is one of the most popular hikes in the park.

An educational trail just over 2 miles in length. There are signboards along the path explaining the different types of vegetation found along the trail. This is an easy walk with a wide and fairly level path.
