How much is a ski trip in New England? From Stowe to Stratton Mountain, HomeToGo has produced a special deep dive into the cost of visiting the top 14 ski resorts in New England. By comparing the cost of major ski trip expenses, we hope to help skiers find the best turns for their dollar this season!


Our New England Ski Price Index includes the price of renting ski equipment, a lift ticket, lunch on the slopes, and overnight accommodation. We took up-to-date pricing for ski equipment and lift tickets from the resorts, and used online menus to calculate the cost of lunch in each resort. As a vacation rental metasearch engine, we used our own data to determine the average price per person to stay in a 4-person accommodation for one night between December 1st, 2019 and April 20, 2020. How We Created This Guide

Total Cost = Equipment Rental + Lift Pass + Lunch + Accommodation

The 14 ski resorts in our ranking provided information on the price of ski rental and daily lift passes for the upcoming 2019-20 season.

Ski Rentals includes the price for intermediate skis, boots, and poles for one person to rent during peak season 02.22.2020.

Lift Ticket Price is for a full day’s skiing for one adult on 02.22.2020. These prices were researched in fall 2019 and may include discounts that are offered to customers who buy in advance.

Lunch Price includes a regular cheeseburger and fries at a restaurant on the ski slopes in the Yelp $$ category. Yelp's online menus were used to obtain these prices.

Accommodation Price is based on HomeToGo's own metasearch data: It is the average price per person, per night to stay in a +4-person vacation rental found on HomeToGo close to the resort, with a check-in between 12.01.2019 and 04.20.2020.
