History of Meharry Medical College dates back to 1879. Nurtured by a proud heritage and steeped in tradition, the college is an interesting place to pay a visit.
Tours are available for individuals,small and large groups during the week. A campus tour lasts about one hour and 30 minutes, and it lets you get an overview of the whole college: Visit research labs, sit in on a live class, interact with students and faculty, or just relax at the Meharry Metz Café within The Cal Turner Family Center. Ample parking is available on the main entrance of the Center.
The College is accessible from different locations within and outside the state. If you’re connecting from Nashville International Airport, take I-4W to Nashville then follow I-40 west through town before taking exit 207 on 28th Avenue. Then turn right on to Jefferson Street.
While there are many things to do in Nashville, visiting the famous concert hall Ryman Auditorium will make a difference on your trip even if you’re not a music fan.
