With somewhat uneven terrain but mostly gravel paths and wooden walkways, this trail won't be too difficult for most visitors to the park. It's just over a half mile one way and ends with an amazing vista across Palisade Head.
This 1.5 miles-trail includes bare rock, providing more of a mixed terrain for active hikers. The route has one of Minnesota's highest waterfalls and brings you to the Baptism River mouth. It's one of the best places to get panoramic views of Tettegouche from up high. Make sure to bring your camera for some shots of your hike!
This 3.5-mile loop boasts some steep inclines and more wide views around the park. Stop to rest and refuel at Tettegouche Camp before carrying on to see more of the amazing landscape.

Rent a kayak at the Lake Superior State Water Trail or a canoe at Mic Mac Lake and take to the water as a fun alternative to walking around the park. Alternatively, you can also fish in these waters.
Come in summer for the water sports and hiking and in winter to see the region in a whole new light. Rent some snowshoes at the visitor center and enjoy a day of this great winter sport, or go skiing or snowmobiling.
