SVSU's 782-acre campus is in University Center, Michigan. It is an unincorporated community of Frankenlust Township in Bay County. The county seat is Bay City. Saginaw and Delta College are part of the University Center. The Saginaw River divides the east and west portions of the town, and four modern drawbridges connect the two sides.
The closest airport to SVSU is MBS International in Freeland, Michigan, just 15 minutes' drive from campus. Taxis, limousines, and rental cars are available at the airport. By car, SVSU is accessible from the I-69/I-70 North or US-10/I-75 South.
Downtown Bay City is a must-see for every visitor to the area. Stroll along the Riverwalk Pier, visit an art gallery, watch a concert, or explore the Historical Museum of Bay County's interactive exhibits on local history. If you’re into maritime history, don’t miss the interesting Saginaw Valley Naval Ship Museum, where you can admire a 1950s destroyer and vintage artifacts.
Bring the kids to the Delta College Planetarium for indoor stargazing and moon shows. There’s also an astronomy education center and a gift shop. For outdoor activities, check out Bay City State Park's biking paths, hiking trails, and fishing areas. Carroll Park, dating back to 1875, is Bay City's oldest park. It has a pavilion, playground, duck pond, and picnic area.
