Getting to Maui

From the airport, there are several ways to travel to other destinations on the island. If you wish to reach the city of Kahului, the largest on Maui, getting there is quick and easy from the airport, which is located only 2.5 miles from the city center. You have the option of taking a bus from the airport, such as the number 35 and 40, which will take you directly into the city. If you wish to visit other locations on the island, there are a number of bus routes available from Kahului.
You also have the option of taking a taxi, airport bus, or rental car at the airport. This last option is most visitors' preference in terms of comfort and convenience. If your destination is on Molokai, the county’s second largest island, a taxi, airport bus, or rental car is needed to reach your location.
