Come Summer, renowned classical musicians from all over the world flock to Bowdoin College for over a month of training and performance. It brings together students, faculty and international visitors to exchange ideas on music and perform in a series of concerts that celebrate classical music.
The Androscoggin River Bicycle Path is a beautiful way to experience nature around Brunswick. It is a 2.5 mile walk, open to both hikers and cyclists and is one of the town's most scenic trails. If you are visiting in the summer the annual fish migration at can be observed at Brunswick's hydro power station in their special glass walled viewing room.
The Peary MacMillan Museum is a must visit. It holds mementos from the first expedition to the North Pole by Robert Peary and Don MacMillan, both alumni of Bowdoin College. The museum houses historical photos of the polar expedition as well as whale tusks and Peary's sled.
