There is ample parking on the Liberty University campus. Look for the special visitor parking lots which are set aside for cars without the official permits. If you'd prefer to use public transportation, several Transit System buses run between the center of Lynchburg and the campus. There is both an Amtrak and Greyhound terminus in downtown Lynchburg.
This huge artificial ski slop provides winter sports fun whatever the weather is doing. There are separate slopes for skiing, snowboarding and tubing, with equipment available for hire on site.
Point of Honor is one of Lynchburg's finest homes and dates from 1806. It's now a living museum, filled with period antiques and the recreation of a typical kitchen of the time. Take a guided tour with one of the expert volunteers to make the most of your visit to the house.
If you're visiting the area with younger members of the family, they'll love this hands-on children's museum with four floors and nine galleries exploring, science, arts and technology.
