Though not necessarily traversing challenging terrain, the route is seventeen miles long, if you complete the entire loop, so moderate fitness is required. You will be rewarded with wild flowers and stunning lake views as you walk across the bridges and pathways beneath the towering trees overhead.
At a pleasant three miles long, the Arboretum Loop is perfectly achievable for most people. The lake is the dominant feature of this route but keep your eyes open for the different species of plants and trees. This eco-friendly area is a foot-only pathway - no dogs or bikes are permitted.
