Willmore Lodge
This incredible historic log building was designed in 1930 by architect Louis La Beaume, president of the St Louis Art Museum. It was initially used as a retreat and entertainment facility during the Great Osage River Project.

Bagnell Dam
Creating Ozark Lake, this 147 feet tall concrete gravity dam was built for the generation of hydroelectric power. Its construction employed hundreds of laborers, a huge economic advantage for the rural area around the dam. It may be apocryphal that the dam has 12 floodgates in order to avoid unlucky 13.
