From Indianapolis International Airport, it's a mere 25-minute drive to the campus via I-70. Then, when you're settled in and ready to get out and see Indianapolis, Downtown is just a 10-minute drive away. The college itself sits just in front of the gorgeous Riverside Golf Course, bordering the White River. If you're interested in cycling, the Major Taylor Velodrome is next to the campus.
The vast choice of cultural institutions here is staggering, and include the popular Indiana State Museum and Indianapolis Museum of Art. More eclectic choices include the National Art Museum of Sports, combining the city's love of football, baseball, and art. The Indianapolis Firefighters Museum & Historical Society is particularly eye opening, and the Museum of Miniature Houses is a local curiosity.
Head to the Indianapolis Zoo, which is divided into different sections encompassing America and the world's varied landscapes. White River Gardens houses the Hilbert Conservatory, so is a real treat for nature lovers. Admission for the Zoo is included with your Gardens entry. Holcomb Observatory & Planetarium is open for tours at the weekend.
