You can make a reservation for a campus tour online. These tours are popular, and the college recommends making your reservation no fewer than two weeks before your visit.
As with many urban areas, parking in Charleston can be difficult. One of the four public parking garages nearby will be your best option during your visit to the college. There are two garages on nearby St. Philip Street, one on the corner of Wentworth and St. Philip, and another on King Street, next to the Francis Marion Hotel.
Charleston's Downtown Area Shuttle has routes that will take you to the popular sights of downtown. Parking is available at Charleston Visitor's Center on Meeting Street, where you can buy a DASH pass.
There are numerous places to eat on campus while visiting the College of Charleston. Food outlets are located in Liberty Street Residence Hall, Berry Residence Hall, Stern Student Center, and College Lodge.
Some of the city's renowned shopping is just a short walk from campus, on King Street and in the Historic Charleston City Market.
