Point Washington State Forest
Experience an incredible ecosystem of dense woodland, populated with spire-like trees, swamps and wetlands. Hunting, picnicking, hiking and hacking on horseback are just some of activities to be enjoyed here. Follow the Eastern Lake Trail System and look out for rare animals such as the American kestrel, gopher tortoise and the white topped pitcher plant.
Eden Gardens State Park
A stunning two-storey mansion with elegant white columns dominates your view when you visit this state park. It dates from 1897 and is filled with antiques. Surrounding the house are 163 acres of landscaped garden, once part of the Wesley homestead. Now, it's a great place to picnic.
Grayton Beach State Park
Consistently topping 'best beach' lists, Grayton is an ideal setting for sunbathing, swimming and fishing. The 2000 acre park is also a prime spot for canoeing, paddle boarding and kayaking. Check out the salt marsh ecosystem as you hike or cycle four miles of trail, past scrub oaks, magnolias and pine flatwoods.
Santa Rosa Beach
Soft sand and azure waters can be found on the shores of a town with rich heritage, excellent cuisine and boutique shopping. It's a great place to bring the family, who will go wild for the attractions all along the beach.
Rosemary Beach
This beach certainly has a relaxing atmosphere, with a comfortable community feel from both the beach and town. This laid-back yet dynamic beach has picture-postcard views of the ocean and lines of sun-loungers, while the town's Farmers' Market is second to none.
